Please Help Very Sick Plant Overnight

I have no idea what happened. I'm posting pics of what my baby looked like yesterday, and what she looks like today. This really sucks. This is boggling my mind. It has massive roots, they're in the water, no root rot, but she still looks like she's dying from lack of water. Here are the pics attached. I named them accordingly. Please somebody help me, this is my first grow and I really don't want to lose it... :(

P.S.- I just thought of something. Today it was a little cooler than normal in the room where my intake comes from which might have caused this? I don't know, I just need help...

The roots in the hydroton look fine. The strain is Bubba Kush. I don't know if purple is normal for the strain, this is my first grow in hydro.

The straw is cut down the side it's just to help from falling over. when it gets big enough it just opens the straw and comes out.

Thanks for the quick reply bro...

Could it be she's just cold ? Might check your water temps. I don't grow hydro so I cant help much but, I have soil plants that will do that if there root zone gets to cold. If I remember correctly, the water temperature needs to be around 75 degrees...If I'm wrong someone correct it please.....

Stunky,

It looks to me like the straw is supporting the seedling ?

Ya the straw just help support the seedling. Like I said though, it has that crucial slit down the side so when it gets too big it just opens the straw up. They help big time.

I agree with PTB. If they're not finished, try moving the insert lower. It's a bit north of the roots that would absorb moisture. As it is, the stem is saturated and rotting, that's why roots look great an the canopy looks thirsty.

I personally think the plant needs to be closer to the lights, to be brutally honest that plant looks like it has too much water in the foliage and cannot transpire correctly because the light is lacking intensity, I would also run through all the aspects Temp,Airflow,PH,ppm and I would flush with some H2o2.

IMHO.

I hope it helps.

stem rot looks like

Stem rot you say?

I have had no experience with it but I have learnt about it and the pathogens that cause this
are almost like plant aids,

@pureknowledge, What did you do in your situation or did the plants die?

@J Budman, If worst comes to worst you could always clone the healthier parts of the plant, ? maybe then atleast you can carry on?

I hope Pure has some know how as I have never needed to fix this issue.

Well first move some medium and get a good view of your stem. If it is black and mushy you know you got the rot.

I apply a light solution of physan 20 directly to the sore, wiping any goo away. Remove some medium and allow some airflow in there. I applyed hydrogen peroxide every 2 days to the wounds. Most importantly get your water levels lower so the hydrton will dry out a bit.

My problme is planting the clone to deep in the hydroton and occasional high water levels, causing them to rot fast! Your plant may not be recoverable at this point, but give her a try if stem rot is your issue. I did save 14/15 stem rot plants in a 24 bucket setup last round, but 48 hours changed this whole round, every was perfect, went for inspection and two are unrecoverable I am guessing.

Sounds good to me,

H202, is like marijuana Jesus.

When you say applied every 2 days? how did you go about your application?
What concentration if any?
How did you apply (instrument used)

It literally happened overnight?

Sounds like you might have severely over nuted it. That can draw water FROM the plant through osmosis. Turgor pressure goes WAY down and it wilts. Or no water...broken roots?

That's all I can think of off hand that would normally cause a RAPID wilt.

Thanks a lot guys for all your help. She died though. I'm insanely depressed. I have no access to clones. Grrrrrr. I have to grow from seeds, hope for some moms, and cut em myself. A long process. I'm thinking now that I've taken her out that it is what PoopyTeaBags, DiscoBiscuit, and PuReKnOwLeDgE are saying. Just like you said discobiscuit, the roots looked fine but when i took her out of the hydroton the stem was all dried out and just plain crappy looking. Hw do i fix that on the next run? Less water in the res? Lower the clones into the hydroton further?

Thanks again guys,
I'm I'll post some when I start my new moms from seeds. I have no problem when I'm in soil, I just really want the yield from hydro and the speed. As you can see I don't have much room, but me and my wife sure do love our medicine. Thanks, I'm sure I'll be asking for more help, just hopefully not in the infirmary...

ibjammin was right.....i did the same shit to my plants earlier this year....I was fucking around with some new genetics and gave them the same concentrations as my heavy feeding ak47's....same shit....they were all drooped the next day....just gotta keep a real close eye on your nutes when mixing....its easy to overshoot.

if i were you and i have sucess with soil i would just make a mother plant in soil then keep trying in hydro...as long as you keep trying you'll eventually have success

That's my plan now, it just takes a while, with the sexing and getting rid of males, etc. but you gotta do what you gotta do. I have a few friends that I can try for some clones. I need to make a DIY bubble cloner for when i get my Mom's ready.

Thanks again.
Please come back and check the "final verdict" pics...
