It's His choice to ruin his life if it happens like that .....You or anyone else are not going to give a fuck if he gets busted ,your not going to bail him out or write. its his choice.

There wouldn't be any noob forums here if that were the case ,
you have to start somewhere ,by seeking out knowledge asking questions.Lots of the people on here do not have concrete knowledge about growing let alone life in general. Who are you to say he isn't ready?

Thank you. :) First you must understand the finances of running a house, w/o a grow... ha ha... B/c a crop isn't worth anything until it's sold. You better have a backup plan to pay the bills.

Start with a closet grow and expand from there... When you've mastered your closet, move on to a tent... then, when you've run out of space in your tent, maybe you'll be ready for a house...

I feel that it is unethical to advise someone asking a question like this. In my experience, the person asking the question is too inexperienced, and I'm wasting my time. Worse case scenario, I boost the grower's confidence enough to proceed, and he fucks it all up b/c he lacks the experience to pull it off.

lol... You didn't start the thread, I'm not doubting you're abilities... I think you understand where I'm coming from. I'd rather not set anyone up for failure, and be called a douche for saying so.

Again then why are WE (as Growers) posting details of our grows to "inspire" an aspiring grower to go big ?????

Obnoxious trashy wannabe gangster neighbors to divert all the police and neighbor attention. Also make sure you don't get a house with a family of racoons living in the attic.

lmao... you guys...

I look for a garden in the yard... so i can enslave the gnomes to run my grow. They're short, so they can walk right under the lights to water the plants. Problem is they get lazy... I think they've been getting into my stash...

I apologize, bobblehead, for attacking you like that. I should have been more tactful in articulating a silly miscommunication, basically. Was having a tough day.

I also should have clarified that I made this thread really as a generalized source of info for visitors, other members, and myself alike. I'm not new to this. I don't necessarily request this information for my purposes specifically. Just more of a generalized information source I thought was worth putting out from the community.

I too dislike the "if you have to ask, you're not ready" type posts. Bullshit. How does that help anyone? The point of asking is to LEARN and make progress towards BEING ready. Who the hell are you to judge whether someone is ready or not? Why is it better to refuse to share knowledge and just let someone wallow in ignorance, hoping they will eventually pick up the necessary knowledge the hard way? Would it be better if this forum didn't exist, so that everyone could learn things the hard way instead of getting a jump start by learning lessons from those who have been there and done that? Seriously guys. I bet yall also preach abstinence-only education to your kids and then are surprised when there's a pregnancy or STD infection.

I clicked on this thread not because I am trying to open a grow house. I have a 2800W grow and am not looking to go out tomorrow and fill a house. I was just bored and curious, and thought I could pick up some tips and knowledge that might help me LATER DOWN THE ROAD when I want to expand. Instead there's just a big argument about how this knowledge is too precious to share because someone might use it to hurt themselves. Well fuck those people. What about the smart and committed people who can use it to HELP themselves?

I'll be moving pretty soon and a thread like this is good to bounce my check list off of. Just as important, it's good to know what to avoid.

I've learned a lot from experience and IC. One thing I've learned from IC is that most members don't mind sharing tips.

Another thing I've learned is the typical, dissenting opinion defends itself over and over. Then it just rattles the chain, reminding us all it's still there.

sort your HVAC before you do anything. controlling the air coming in/out of the grow room will control the smell (and light leaks). sealed is best for stealth. ask if you can install a split system AC for your "server" room before your neighbors call the landlord complaining about your construction work.
basements are best IMO. easier to control temps and usually the breaker box is down there.
re-use your soil or do hydro to control waste management.
don't be greedy and go too big with electricity usage. 5000 watts is enough for most.
be prepared to be single and/or never tell or bring your girlfriend etc...
don't grow near drug-free school zones. tip your mailman on christmas. make sure the house is pet friendly... get a dog.

No worries man, it's just the internet... I understand there's things that you may not consider, like upgrading the HVAC... and when going from small to big, there are some questions you don't know to ask... I'm more of the "do it and adjust on the fly" kinda guy... I don't wanna sit around thinking about doing something, instead, I do it and adapt... When I have problems, then I come back and ask specific questions.

Not trying to be condescending, and it's unfortunate if anyone thinks so. Not that I don't value this community, but I'm not putting my freedom at risk solely based on the advice I get from this community. You have to know your immediate community, and have the confidence and know-how to do what you want to do.
