Hairy buds?

hey sometimes my nugs have alot of hair on them. its to the point where on top of trimming i have to dehair my nugs too. usually the hairs are brown red and as long as freakin eyelashes! why is my bud coming out so hairy is this normal? i grow indoors under all kinds of lights. sometimes my buds are normal but sometimes they are more hairy but i havent been able to narrow down the cause.

it happens that way sometimes strain dependent, i have a homemade cross looks like an afro hairstyle i just trim the hairs at the same time when i harvest

lol hair as in pistols not human or pet hair hahah. i should have clarified. although the occasional pet hair gets onto a cola im talking about the pistols being as long as eyelashes and a nice reddish brown color. i dont know what the strain is, its bagseed. it looks similar to master kush with purple fan leaves, some kind of kush cross.

how long do you let it flower?...some strains's calyx's literally swallow the pistils after going the distance in flowering...thats why im curious

hey thats exactly what im talking about brother bear i always have to pluc some of them off!

i let flower to 60 days usually. whenever all the hairs on the nug are brown and the crystals are nice and swollen and i can see sparkles in them like diamonds.

They don't have thc in them?? I am not sure I would agree there as even the hairs have tons of crystals on them. Not sure about the pistols themselves but I always thought everything in the bud pretty much had thc in it. I hear you on the bag appeal though.

After I am done drying I take the container and there is tons of hairs in the bottom and little balls of resin from my hands. I let it dry another day or so and then roll it into joints. I like it lol.

i do not see any kind of crystals whatsoever on the hairs. just for kicks i smoked a bowl of just the hairs and it tasted like crap.

There is very little THC in pistals. I have pulled them off and smoked bowls of them with little to no effect. I agree that there is hardly any THC on them but you dont need to take the time to manicure those unless you chose to.

im just worried people who buy my weed will talk shit about it being so hairy. and a high hair ratio giving a foul taste in the overal smoke package.

there has to be a climate reason why this is happening. maybe too much airflow gives them longer hairs? or heat stress? i have my lights close and fans blowing them all the time. thats the only thing i can think of.

I dont think thats it bro it has more to do with genetics. I have grown close to 30 different strains and have not had any with hairs like your describing. The bud that brother bear showed us is allot but if the bud is good top shelf you should not be able to taste them over the dankness of the bud itself.
