I just wanna try to get a handle on the statistics of how many smokers partake "on the road". I would assume the majority of pot busts occur in traffic situations, be it sobriety checkpoints or simple traffic violations where the cop smells weed.

Also, if you would, indicate in a post whether or not your locality sets up "sobriety checkpoints" or any checkpoint in which all vehicles are pulled over and forced to comply.

If you are a stupid stoner then yeah fire it up. If you grow, well, WTF?? No grower in their right mind would put themselves at such risk.

Im not in it for the money. I do it for plant preservation and spiritual revelation..

Well I have to admit, I smoke on the road almost every day. There are never any checkpoints (that I have seen) in my town. I live pretty much in the sticks and it's pretty rare to see cops around here.

I must be outta my mind!!!!

I blaze everyday in my vehicle. I've also been driving without a license since I was 19, in my 30's now.

Obey the traffic laws and don't drive like a sausage! No hitting the piece at intersections and only blaze joints on the highway.
Those are my rules for vehicular safety!

Buzz runs ftw. Sometimes I will be sitting at home bored and I'll go for a drive just to smoke a joint. I do live in a pretty sparsely populated area and we don't have checkpoints. Of course that also means its a 2 hour drive to the nearest hydro store, and I am not going to drive that far and not blaze a little.

I also haven't been pulled over for anything in like 10 years because I don't speed or drive like a moron.

If you do illegal shit in a vehicle you are just one little twist of fate from trouble. You have no rights on the road. That stop sign you just sort of slowed down for now has a cop at your window and he will ask if he can search the vehicle. When you say " officer I don't think so" he says, "thats OK I am going to let the dog out". Game over. And in my state the least that will happen is an arrest and lots of money spent, and from then on no grow because you are on the radar. Not worth it.

Never these days, I used to smoke EVERYWHERE I went though.
I've taken sneaky zeppelin hits in some very extreme public spots before.

USed to blaze on the road all the time..hardly do it at all anymore, and unless Im going for a hike or something I hardly carry any stash on me.

For those times I am out very late and still have smoke left over, I'll usually give it away to someone else or toss it instead of taking the chance of it being found in my car.

In my immediate area there are no checkpoints, but in a neighboring state I drive through often they have checkpoints.

i thought check points are illegal constitutionally what state has checkpoints???

I rarely burn in the car too risky. Checkpoint should be illegal IMO, but I know the FEDS do them in border states supposedly looking for illegal immigrants. Thats how they got Willie on his tour bus .

My question is WHY??? I never burn in my car its too easy to pull over somewhere step out of the car and burn one. Especially if your state has outlawed cigarette smoking in public areas. No longer do rope smokers stick out like sore thumbs when seen outside smoking because everyone has too.

Shit the poll could say "How many people smoke standing on their heads" sure it could be done but why, it doesn’t make sense in my mind. There are too many alternatives.

Hell most of the people on here take the time and effort to grow why can’t you do the same when it comes to smoking??

I enjoy a nice smoke while driving, but I too live in a very rural area, and I'm in the once a week or once a month group....not a daily thing, because I only leave the farm twice or three times a week. Is it needed? Of course not. Do I enjoy it? Sure do.
