Right on man,yeah the smoke was OK I think it was just the grower cuz it seemed like poor flushing and poor dry/curing process.

I hope to keep em going,my patient has been slacking on re embursing me funds and I was suposta get some sunshine mix days ago to transplant em,they're not lookin so good rigtr now so I might lose em.


On the upside my 4 LVPK survived the night!! They have some feeding and recooping to do so we can see some explosion action.

So does anyone growing lvpk have any experiance with feeding them conni A&B?

I know BigGreen uses the dutch master gold grow for veg and has great success with it so I think I'm good for grow just concerned for bloom time.

TurboKlone is charging $60-80 for a humidity dome. That's bullshit. I wouldn't support such a company. 99% of their sales pitch is BS as well. I'm gonna pay $350 minus the $80 humidity dome for rounded corners? Really?

I would go DIY for small jobs (<=15 clones at a time) and go with an EZ Cloner for bigger jobs. EZ Cloner is the standard and you can probably find one used for dirt cheap.

Use Rapid Rooters @ $15.00 for 50 of them and don't have to deal with PH adjustment, temperature worries, soft stems....nothing!

And RR's are far superior when planting the cuttings in soil vs. any sort of Aerocloner no matter who makes it!

Update: well yesterday I noticed a pond smell in my rez so I felt up inside one of the 3/4 hoses and sure enough some slime and gunk and something living in there that shouldn't.

So I pulled it all apart and soaked most of the stuff in hot ass bleach water and scrubbed it all down,I even cut a sponge into strips and took a 5' piece of 3/16. Diam 304L stainless and pushed the sponge strips thru everything I could and holy fuck that shit was nasty!

I also called around and no one around here carries physan 20 and only 1 shop has H202 and they're closed for the weekend so I just refilled the system and threw in bout 4 1/2 bottles of hydrogen peroxide and also soaked my micro pore airstones in a few bottles too.

So after getting it all put back together and filling up I also added 75ml of each DM gold A&B and that's it. I think my float valve got bent because the system is almost to the brim.

So is it bad if the water level is an inch covering the 4" net pots?

Last time I added nutes I added at 5ml per gallon and there was around 23-24gallons and ppm was up to 577 and this time I shot for 400 as BG said and the PPM was 214 so I added another 75ml of both A&B to hopefully get 400-450PPM.

Other than that the youngins in the rdwc are lookin tits! Wish I had internet so I could lad up some decent pix. Maybe later .

The 3 GDP beans and 2 chemdog kush and 1 god in my dink E&F table are doin awesome too on DM gold and added calmagp.was thinking bout waiting til I can get decent cuts before I throw into flower,maybe anoth couple weeks or so I think.

Amd all my SP/coco cuts are turning around and lookin nice and lush,my trees in SP and organic mix are lookin better

I acquired a new tree too,they said its black domina but I think they might be off on how that's pernounced cuz I think they mean dominia or something like that? Anyways its a real nich tree was needing some. Heavy defoliation and I tossed in the tent with the sourband and trainwreck and a small lvpk shrub,thinking I'm gonna let em veg for another few days to get use to the 600 and higher temps then bloom. I need some freakin meds already.

What causes the were slime growth ? and how are you going to do different to try to prevent it from happening again.

What hose did you push the sponge through ? The air stone's hose? Either way sounds like a project. Hope you don't get that stuff coming back.

WHOOOO yeah!! i had a blast bein sober and cleanin gunk out of my system,oh and in the process i broke the piece coming off the 633gph pump and got drenched cuz i was standing right over it.

im not exactly sure what caused the slime,thinking my aqua shield is too old or just not too good. and i pushed the sponge thru pretty much everything but the airstone hose,those i jyst soaked in hot bleach water then in hydrogen peroxide then ran blazing hot water thru em then put em back on the stones and ran air thru em submerged in HP.

and im gonna do it like BG and try thins as steryl as possible,next week im gonna pick up some 30% H2o2 and Zone and super sterylize it then run just DM gold and zone,then for bloom im gonna just run conni A&B and top out at 750-850 ppm and might not run any boosters,if i do its gonna be big bud and kool bloom only and itl onlu be added to the system for 2-3 days then flushed and refilled with base nutes.

thinking aslo to prevent slime from happening again im gonna flush every 7 days and refill with fresh RO and base nutes so 2-3 weeks in i may just start a light dose of big bud 2 days before the 7th day (flush day) and do the same for kool bloom but run that for the week before the 2 week flush.

I used to see alot of slime like that using flloranova nutes in my drip system. It never seemed to affect the roots but is nasty to clean up. I'm now using 1ml bleach per 5gal every third day. No more problems since I started. Althoug FNB and floraliscious plus do leave a thin layer of slime on every thing.
The ease of use makes up for the effort in cleanup IMO. Great thread by the way.

Do you have a chiller on this beast?

Why would you want to run boosters for only 2 days before a flush?

wouldn't you want all the nutes in at the same time and let the plant take what it needs? Just being careful with levels we all know this girl likes low levels.

my water temps were 66-68 and thats the 1/4hp chiller reading.and biggreen told me to run base only and if i do use boosters to only run em for a coule to few days then flush and refill with base nutes.

so im gonna take his advice and only run em for a couple days before flush,im sure in dwc 2-3 days should be enough time for the plants to use some of those booster nutes?

and i think your 2 weeks or so behind,all 4 of mine have roots in the water already the 2 in 4" net pots have like 4 6-8 inch roots in the water already and the 5" square pots have 3 3" roots sticking out,i think the smaller net pots allow for quicker root submersion and the 5" square get the roots to sorta establish in the hydroton before they venture out into the water.

i think thats why the bigger the net pot the larger rootmass and fatter stalk because theres more stability from the larger root mass that builds before poking out of the pot.

also im liking the little dodo drop looking hydroton,its larger and not rounded off so theres more surface area to stay moist and its jagged and and that causes it stay put and not move around as easy like the perfectly rounded hydroton.

I just check out my buddies side project that exactly replicates mine and I have him running it with base nutes only and his buds are 2 times bigger than mine just were. He has not even went over 750 ppm the entire grow. A booster in a real low dose might help them even more just be careful not to use to much

Thanks for jumping in here,what i was thinking was when/if i do use big bud and kool bloom i'll bring the base ppm down the the amount the boosters ppms are.

example: say base ppm are 700 and i wanna add 100ppm or so of big bud,i would bring base ppm down to 600 and add the 100ppm of big bud to not take total ppm over the 700,sound about right?

and do the same for the kool bloom too?

GT: Alright I will try running additives in low levels through out bloom phase. We will see if there is any major differences.

BG: He was running LVPK right just no adds like you. I'm going to give what you are saying here a try. Planning on doing 2/3 base nutes and 1/3 additives. Looking no higher than 800 ppm after the stretch. Good to hear you buddy is getting good results with bare minimum.

GT: I have a good rez recipe I got from my local shop. Only thing is they have 1600ppm in the mid weeks of bloom. Which isn't going to happen with my UC or LVPK. Let me look for it online. If not I will have to scan it.
