I currently have Jalapeno peppers, patio (cherry) tomatoes, garlic, chives, and radishes growing.
Also I usually have lavender and a few other "pretty" plants to keep the GF happy and mix new smells in the air.

I think humidity is the biggest issue I have had in selecting food crops to grow. Some plants like cucumbers need higher humidity. Another issue to be cautious of is that some plants are more prone to molds and fungi that can cause problems with the main crop.

almost anything but giant pumpkins.
lol.im dreaming bout the hive.not in racoon city.:ying:

I just planted them in wal-mart tubs and water em the same as vegging pot plants. I grow the veggies in Black gold potting soil mixed with some steer manure, sand and peat moss. They seem to like it and grow.

I just cut the tops off of the chives and garlic, (I am addicted to the tops pickled). The radishes were planted a couple days ago and aren't up yet but my tomatoes and peppers are starting to kick in gear.

I originally started growing them before my state laws allowed MMJ. So it was for stealth purposes. If I ever got the itch that my security was compromised I moved all my mj plants out and stashed em, and then I just had a small indoor vegetable garden. Nothing illegal about that at all, twice it saved my bacon too, buts that's another story. Now I do it because I enjoy the fresh veggies and they are really a nice addition to the room.

I've got limes & lemons, rosemary, stevia, tomatoes, peppers, mint, thyme, oregano, basil, lettuce (heat & bolt resistant), and we'll do sunflower sprouts (I only mention those because they do best in a peat/coco bed).

They're growing in. . .dwc, soilless peat/compost, passive fixed culture (non circulating non-replaced hydro), a few waterfarm knockoffs made of 5/3 gallon buckets, dutch pots & hand watered coco. We're about to start some lettuce using hydrotron filled pots on top of 1 gallon "green genius" vacation watering systems.

We train everything pretty heavily to maximize light, we only get a few hours of natural daylight here in winter around solstice so we're essentially 100% artificial for at least a few months out of the year.

It is almost impossible to screw up radishes as long as they've got enough moisture & you harvest fast enough.
