BTW, not to hijack or anything. And I don't mean to come off like some grammar police asshole, but it just drives me nuts when people say shit they have no idea what it is they're saying. INDO does NOT mean indoor.

INDO- Marijuana, specifically modern crossbreeds of Indonesian (hence, "Indo") indica strains with western sativa, resulting in pungent, broadleafed, THC-crystal laden buds, or "trees". Often confused for a short form of "indoor", which is where most of this type of marijuana is now grow

That's from urbandictionary.com.

I try to understand. My friend said I grow great DRO. The word DRO actually means HYDRO. But he knew I grew in organic soil so it threw me at first. WTF?

Our language is getting so bastardized by so much shit usage that it's scary. And that results in miss-communication. And that results in so much strife in this world. Fuck it.

Former coon hunter here too. Damn I miss those midnight runs. Get one of those tracking collar set ups for the dogs. All you'll need is 1 collar and the receiver. Hell I bet you know someone with that setup. All you'd need is the collar set to their frequency. Buckle it to your belt and take off. Found many a dog with the system I used to have. hehe
BTW, I know KY has the harshest marijuana laws in the country so be very careful.

This thread reminded me of a game we use to play when I was in my early 20's. We all had CB's and walkie-talkies, and would send somebody out to create a trail for the rest of us to follow. He was the rabbit and we were the hunters, we had to locate him with nothing more to follow than his radio signal.
Anyway I was in college studying radio electronics at the time and I made a dipole transmitter, powered by a 9v battery. It would transmit a signal that when nulled sounded like a bird chirping.

You could make one of them and if you needed help then just turn it on and you would have a signal.

Also, I know that nobody even wants to divulge the location of their OD grows, but you could actually mark the locations on a map along with the trails you use to access.
Hide the map in a really secure location so if something did happen then you wife could send a family member after you.

I'm 62 and grow indoors in a box and have a grand time doing it. I'm also a Master gardener but thats a different story, but indoor satisfies me love of plants and growing and gives you a buzz at the same time. Go stealth we ain't gettin any younger, and the hills don't get any eaiser. Peace.

buy a Garmin type of hand held GPS unit & then fill in all the 'way points' for the route to and from your garden(s). as you already know the route yourself just leave the Garmin @ home for emergency use in finding you (or your body) if you don't come home within the normal time frame.

best of luck

cheap & easy to build can be hidden in plain sight,
grow LowRyder strains or do LST on your plants

I saw a study a few weeks ago that said 80% of humans are afraid of the dark. I spent hours of my youth deep in the woods, quiet, listening and waiting for the dogs to go to tree. A mile or 2 from the nearest light or farm house at 3;00 am is pure tranquility to me. Quiet and peaceful. With a 3/4 moon or more, you dont even need a light to work or travel by.

Law enforcement is odd around here. They're admittedly overwhelmed, in the paper this summer, the state police reported they had observed 348 marijuana grows from the air in my county, but only had the resources to bust the felony grows ((35 of them). They said they didnt have the funds/ labor to round up everyone with a few plants growing. Growing 4 plants here is a misdemeanor punishable usually by a 200$ fine. The law dawgs just cut outdoor plants and make no effort to find the grower. They dont ask the landowner because they assume he's unaware.

Indoor is a little different. For some reason, they make a big deal out of it and put your picture in the paper. I have a bunch of little grandchildren and i dont want their grandpa's pic on the front page of the paper for them to see and be embarrassed about. I cant take that risk. I start my seeds indoors in the spring for a couple of weeks and then out, but thats it for the indoor.,

She said yesterday that if i would limit the grow to a dozen of so plants in the spots that are easy and close to civilization, she wouldnt object. I guess im hunting for a big yielder if i can only grow a few.

Now that's a fine woman. I'll tell ya Toker, I grow about a dozen every year and between watering, tending and harvesting it's all I can handle. You're still in the game, you old hoss. Lucky you.

Good news!
Now chances are she won't be hiking out to do any remote plant counts on you, so you can probably bump that number by a few(or as many as your conscious will let you, lol) plants

Growing is habit forming and my wife doesn´t like me growing more than I need. I wanted to start an indoor grow this winter but she asked Do you really need the product?" and I had to admit I didn´t.

Last summers outdoor grow will see me through the winter, next summer I´ll start 15 plants and after weeding out the males I´ll have some good weed and the cycle continues.

D.S.,
You remind me of a dear friend in the same boat. He is one of those that is comfortable outside at any time, willing to take a chance and can keep a secret. His wife was like yours but she passed a few years ago and would have found something else to worry about if it were not him. He worries his activities sped up her demise but he, like you, has grown since the late 60's. I told him to get over it because she knew a long time ago what she was getting into and if there was ever a package deal it was him. He has retired 4 times in the last 10 years but can't kick the habit. What police and certain family members will never understand is that there are people who are compelled to grow pot whether it was worth a $1 or $400 an oz. I am one but I can't claim to be good at it although I have improved. As for quitting for health reasons I would think twice. At 63 I would trade his blood pressure and heart rate with him any day and I am 35 years younger. I just read your thread on the work you put in your holes just like he does and the benefits vs nonamended holes and water consumption. I will pass it on to him because he will never get on a forum to find the information. The discipline required of being a guerilla grower if you have the right mind set are demanding and I would argue very good for your health or at least have been for him. The physical work and being constantly aware of everything going on around you my be stressful to some but invigorating to others. Working 9-5 would have killed him way before his true passion ever would have. If he ever does officially retire I will try to get him an account here to pass on the years of experience he has. Losing the 40 plus year growers will be a great loss. I've learned more from him and searching old posts from the likes of you, silverback and dhf. Speaking of silverback my friend saved well over 1/2 a crop due to his green cure tip a few years ago. May he RIP or better yet never died in the first place.
