nice man just made my christmas morning with this post... love seeing people doing it with the smartpots...next year im going to use 200,600 gallons of soil hehe

I'm really content just using 100gallons... just trying 1 200gallon just to see if I want to step it up to those in 2012.. it's all a learning experience with each run.. we can only plan and do our best, right? I'm expecting to get minimum 4lb ea next year, shouldn't be hard at all.. in the late Sept. rains, I had some pretty big branches break and stuff get kindof tangled up, so it was a big pain in the ass to get it all straightened and staked up the best I could. Still turned out great, I was really only expecting about 2lb ea, but was blown away after the first one was all said and done, which happened to be the smallest in size, but had the most dense bud structure. Anyway, I know now that it really does take a years planning ahead of time. I am doing most in a 24' x 60' 'homemade' greenhouse/hoophouse. I'm running majority sour and mr nice, and will plan to have them about the same size. It'll be a little tight, but will have 3 rows across, 8 snugged together in rows, then, the single 200gal will be just outside of it. Here's a pic of the progress on the hoophouse. since that pic, the side hips and endwalls are finished. it'll be nice 2011, expecting 3 runs out of it; seedrun jan-mid feb lowryder2, mr nice mid feb-mid may, then replant late may for natural summer/fall run. then get a little break ;)

3.5 lbs in 100 gals!! thats fucking insane...most people i know running 100 gallons barely got over a LB....the ones who got the 3-5lb plants ran 200 gall pots.

First attempt at outdoor at that also.. I'm expecting atleast 6-8 lb on ideal conditions/growth in one 200gal. If it doesn't happen, I'll stick to 100gallons. I've already spent almost 4k on soil, nutes, and rest of the things I need, more smartpots, welded 7ft 4inch 'hardware cloth'(cage rolls) and misc. If it doesn't double the yield in 200gal vs 100gal, it isn't worth doubling investment on supplies, is my logic to the equation. Anyway, Feliz Navidad, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and any other holiday I'm forgetting, lol.:tiphat:

Ive seen guys gettin 3/4 lbs out of ~30gal swamp tubes in the bush with shorter season canadian strains so 100gal givin 2 lb is definately doable from my perspective. have u guys checked the root mass after harvest in the 100gal or 200gals? does the plant use up all the root space?

Guess you didn't fully read that... i got over 3.5lb EACH on AVERAGE on 7 plants. I was expecting atleast 2lb each, first time run ever outdoor, and exceeded my expectations by 1.5lb+ each one... Roots went thru the bottom of the pot and into the ground. Was very massive rootmasses.

Yo icu that hoop house is fuckin sick bro... Unfortunatly i cant get down like that out here... almost makes me want to go west just for the season! Yea man off a 200gal you should be able to pull 5-10 out in cali from what i see from other growers. Out east we get shit for sun where i am so 3-5# is a blessing and can only be achieved in wetland areas or backyard grows... fuck im happy with 1 a pop. but my goal is 5 a pop.

This season is going to be fucking CRAZY cleaning up my ezcloner 120 site cutting 100 ak47 clones and 20 sour x chemdd.

now that you say your getting such great numbers from the 100gals i think im going to employ some of them in the wetland areas and see how they compare to the 200gals...

so maybe i do 90 200gals 8 100gals and 1 600gal. the 600gal is going to be INSANE im currently vegging and ak47 mother in a 15gal smartpot and thats whats going into the 600gal come may/june...

Sometimes i wish i could just do one big field like all you dudes do out there... almost feel like im missing out

your very fortunate to be able to grow this shit right in your back yard.. im getting my med license up in my state so im thinking i could potentially put 6 200gals right in the backyard with some nice razor fencing and infared game camera.

yea mang backyard boogie is the way to go....out here game cams and motion sensor flood lights are most popular...rippers get scared real quick when a bright ass light turns on out of nowhere...or just pull up a cot and sleep in the fields with the rifle.. it gets 90-100 so nice outdoor sleeping weather..

took 20ft pvc with bells on the end, pieced 2 20' together making 40' poles that act as the hoops. I made a base with pressuretreated wood, also securing it with steel stakes, drove 2" pvc into the ground to sit flush with the frame, its all bolted together, etc.. dropped the hoop poles in both ends, and secured with a top piece. used carriage bolts. put some hip boards down the side where the rollup sides go up to. framed endwalls with lumber. covering it sometime this week when the weather is a little bit nicer. had to clear out that entire area with a loader, level it flat as possible, dropped almost 10tons of 3/4" drainage gravel, did the ground framing, securing, pieced together, did all the bolting and screwing everything together, etc. its pretty simple just takes some time. i have some more pics i'll upload later on.

~smart pots are the cali standard~

~smart pots are the cali standard~

potted plants (8-10ft in pic) are in 100gal smart pots with final yield averaging between 2-3.5lbs per. plants were all organic w/ teas and amended soil. unless you're a shade grower don't fuck w/ anything less than 100gal.

aeroguerilla: was looking at your indoor thread and linked up to this one. awesome to see someone posting up to the level you are, final budshots or not. remember the online growing world is just that; online. if you walk away from it, the only people missing out would be those inspired by your posts. you know whats real... stay up!
