If I get really desperate I use a bit of toilet paper or tissue paper but getting them to stick is a bit of an issue.
I use mostly Rizla+ Original, and silver king size ones when I can get some. They have a new one, made of organic hemp fiber, but haven't tried it yet. Packet has a large cannaibs leaf printed on it eheh...

Club's..they have no gum or glue there thin and I think there made of rice..also they make you look real cool with the lady's when you roll the perfect joint. IMHO

Ive used regular orange zigzags for 15+yrs and I recently switched to there new ultra thins. They are a world of diffrence and I dont see going back to the regs unless I cant get these anymore. I recommend them to everyone I know. There the right size, super thin, they roll very easy. Also I have found them to be very easy on the throat and mouth even for a heavy smoker like myself. All around winners in my book.
Now they just have to make Ultra thin king size zigzags and Ill be happy.

Best ones I have found so far are Zig Zag Ultra Thins, they dont add any nasty taste to bud but sometimes they dont burn evenly, which kind of sucks.
Worst ever, JOB brand papers, dont be fooled by the 99 cent price tag these things absolutely blow, like smoking a page from the phone book.
And a little tip to all my cheapskate joint smoking friends out there, check ebay for your fav brands and buy by the case.
At my local gas station a pack of zig zags is $3.00, in bulk I get them for $1.40 a pack cant beat that!

Elements are probably the best, they burn so slow and evenly. Just can't seem to ever find them as single wide slims, which is my preferred size. So I usually go with Rizla+ Silver, Smoking Master, or OCB X-Pert. All three are really similar, very thin paper.

Take a paper and light it up with your lighter and see what it leaves behind. Then do that with a Club paper.
All of these ultra thin papers leave pretty much no ash, except a little bit from the gum/glue. Club obviously won't leave even that as it has no gum.
It's just that there's a very functional benefit to the gum. Especially for someone like me who likes to roll ten or so joints at once instead of always rolling one right before smoking. Easier to smoke them on the go that way, just keep them in a cigarette case and smoke them like they are one.
For the same reason I quit using tips in my joints. Want to get my joints for the day rolled while drinking my morning coffee, no time for some arts and crafts session making small tubes out of cardboard.

Well I'm really old ( lol ) so I really like the new style of tips and even buy a handful of them prerolls just to have around as I'm just too lazy to roll much anymore but will smoke the dry hammers till I'm dead.
I never had a prob traveling with pre-rolls made with club cabaret width. Still no glue and no ash but longer ( which I despised decades ago on glued papers ) so they stick like glue without it.
Still like to take a walk in the woods with a big fatty. Oh yeah
