Help when will it ever be ready to harvest?

So this is my first grow and i started with mexi sativa bricked seed...big mistake. I ran into a little heat stress midflower/light leaks and this is how it has recovered=(. Flowering(12/12) began on August 27th...tight internode spacing from tons of LST training yet the buds are loose and see through...very poor trichrome productions (i can hardly see them with my 30X loop or my 60-100X mini scope. The smell was almost none existant and even with how airy it is the calyxes look swelled.

How much longer until its i should harvest?
did i FUCK her up earlier on in flower past recovery?

Ive been light on the nutes due to her being a sativa...was using FF grow big and tiger bloom in FFOF organic soil

thanks for your help!

What's your medium & lights...?

The last two photos show stress/damage then new growth, so probably set her back some...

Your almost 4 months into flower...?

lights are PL-L 55watt....four of them, 360 degrees vertically around the plant...medium is FFOF with light nutes and mollasses.

Looks like you just got unlucky with the genetics you grew out for your first grow. Some strains are just not that great looking, but I bet it will get you high even with the stress and genetic makeup it has. Have you smoked any testers to determine it's potency yet?

It actually doesn't look that bad, just not a lot of trich's on her. But like I said I bet it still gets you high and now you know the importance of using quality genetics.

I'd let her go as long as you feel like doing the work of keeping her alive and happy. If you're ready to move on and the high is to your liking might as well pull her and work on those BOG beans you have. However f you think you can get some more out of her let her go. I read somewhere on here a guy grew a thai haze (Freezerboy?) and it still wasn't close to being done after 20 weeks.

Grab a scope and check out some trichs. As a sativa, you may want to err towards clear/milky as opposed to seeing a few amber/milky. That's my preference, at least...

I don't think you can blame it on the DNA of the seed...

I would think that's about as good as it gets with CFL's in Bloom...

I disagree.

I disagree.

Those are shots from this week's harvest. Grown under 252w of CFL.

CFL can do wonderful things in the right setup, and PLL lamps (like the OP is using) are actually BETTER than the CFLs *I* use.

I would personally start growing something else and toss a few 12/12 from seed/clone in there to get you some smoke sooner than later.

Let that finish when it is either

A: ready (based on trich color)
B: whenever you get sick of it taking up the tent

Nice plants Anti...:tiphat:

I agree CFL's are great in veg and if your in a pinch will work in bloom but you can not produce commercial grade meds with them ( AKA Hard Bud ), your going to have lighter, airy tops that take twice as long to finish...

I do not have a dog in this fight as you just think people should know...

As far as the DNA, the seed never had a chance...:help:

You can get hard bud with them. Just not from the bottom of a 24" plant. If you can keep your entire plant within 3-6" of the bulbs you will have no problems growing rock hard, super dense nugs.

If you try to grow 3ft tall bushes in 3gallon pots, yeah, you're gonna be disappointed.

If I were the OP I would mount those 55w PLLs in the corners of the room VERTICALLY like in the HighPod.

Hope you don't take this as barking at you.

Not at all Anti, I find your response refreshing...:tiphat:

School me as I would love to learn something today...

Some plant & cured bud shots would be nice...

PS... He dose have the PLL's Ver and can use your help...

Heres some of my CFL nugs right now.

random strain that was a mislabel so I just tossed it in a box with <100w of CFL's to see what it was....

this is a little over a month in.... I have no idea how long its gonna go but for an unfinished CFL grow, it looks good so far.

whats cool is that for as low as the wattage is, this herb is CRAZY sticky.

yeah man tbh I'd just toss it and put some good genetics in its place, looks like crap genetics :( unless the herb the seed came from was super heady, its not worth it imo

I think the genetics thing is the answer, too. I did some bag seed this past spring and the buds were thin and airy as you describe. Same set-up with good genetics for current second grow and have more trichs showing after 4 weeks than brickweed did after 11 weeks. Nugs are tighter, too, even though same soil/lights are being used. Harvest it and use the lesson for the future.

Here's a quote from Jim Lahey:

100w of t5 :) ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC genetics make a world of difference. If your that long into flower with her I dont think it's going to get any better. If you have milky amber tric's she's done.
