I used the term "gangsta" in a sarcastic way. I'm not asking about money laundering. I'm not "trying to be a gangsta." I'm wondering if there was perhaps anyone knowledgeable of the very specific situation I described; the police were talking about how an individual had bypassed the tax eyes of the FEDS using a barrage of complicated financial re-routing for tax purposes (Ie, not your standard money laundering). I enjoy reading about this type of stuff. It sparked my curiosity, and I wondered if anyone had any idea what could be involved.

but seriously the cd thing is an easy way to clean money... buy bulk blank cds with a recipe, declare you sold alot of your cd's, and resell the bulk blank cd's to flea markets, or whatever... you just need to show expenses and profits, pay the taxes, and then drive the shit outta that ferrari..

i just keep an excel with my used car sale profits...sometimes i say that i made an extra 500 on a sale...doesnt matter because no one checks the sale price...we cook the sales price on dmv forms all the time no one has time to check that shit...

Hire a tax lawyer. If you are not doing this then you are either not making enough money to clean in the first place or will soon be spending time in jail for tax evasion and any other sort of crimes the Feds feel like sticking on you.

The short and skinny of it is this: The Feds do not give a shit that you are making money illegally so long as you follow a few simple rules:

2) don't break any major laws (white collar crime excluded)

I hate to ask but why do non of you have small business? do you not have grass and yards? Gutters, Paint, fences, garbage? many small business operate in cash only industries, and cooperate taxes are lower than personal taxes.

^^^I run my own landscaping business on the side, great way to buy bulk outdoor supplies and scope out spots...plus legal income. Gotta love it...cant wait til this state gets legal tho
