handwatered coco, House&Garden, co2, brand new galaxy ballasts and horti bulbs, gonna be a good one...

Where did you find the blue dream? Seed or Clone? Im dying to get my hands on some beans, probably never be able to get a clone.

When growing vertical, you should take concrete wire mesh screen (1foot grid), bend it into a cylinder and put it in-between the lights and your plants. You can then tuck plants behind the mesh, and no worries about massive colas growing into the lights. Only really necessary once you start getting 3lbs+ per 1000w.

yah i dont think i'm gonna be pulling 3lbs per light anytime soon but hey no harm in having goals! i love the wire mesh idea, too bad i already spent an hour putting up nets in the Blue Dream room... i just stapled them to the ceiling and the shelves

i'll get some of that wire mesh and try it on the second room ina couple days... although i dont think the Grandaddy will stretch as much so i'm not sure if i will need it

feel free to stop by any time! it is truly great to have some knowledgeable people around here

question: how far from the lights do you put the wire mesh? i'm guessing 3-4ft? thanks!

Gonna be some good shit come outta these Bro.......Since I`m ignorant on Krunch`s setup , how bout tellin us all bout it as in room size , 4 levels straight up the walls or what....enquiring minds wanna know.....

Not sayin wire mesh won`t work for a scrog type thingy if they stretch too close to the bulbs , but I always hung horti-trellis from the ceilings a ft away from the bulbs in my Heathie`s adaptation of angled racks with plants pointed dead at the lights so the top colas would rest on through the holes and not fall over after fillin out and gettin heavy.......

I dialed my pre-veg times on fully rooted cuts before puttin plants in the bloom rooms and knew from trial and error how far they`d grow to prevent scorching/bleaching ending up 6" or so from the bare bulbs after end of stretch........always finished up with 64-30-32" plants 1 1/2 ozs each with 3-600`s on top of each other in 6 x 6 inside area rooms........

I`ll be settin on my bucket waitin on updates Bro......Handle it.....DHF......:ying:.....

the original setup was 3x 1kw lights stack in middle of an 8x8x8 square. krunchbubble only used 2 shelves... i have 3. first is 16" off ground, second is 42", third is 68". plus plants on the floor = four levels.

i know the blue dream will stretch a couple feet so i already hung nets in that room. your ideas sound great. thanks for sharing , you obviously have more experience than most people here !

blue dream was made in santa cruz mountains, so it's not hard to find around here. that's an understatement actually. clone only though, so good luck....

Well Bro....You could say I`ve been round the block a few times......Just bored and tryta help folks these days.......

Ran my version of Heath`s vertical racks for 3 yrs in several flip rooms pullin 2 lbs per 600 from the very first run , but I knew my strains and what they`d do in each phase from rooted cuts ta pre-veg , and then into the bloom rooms till end of cycle 9-10 weeks later........

The biggest upside to the angled racks is yas don`t haveta cull and chop out all the back shit against the walls like on regular shelf grows , as well as being able to run more plants without any veg time....but .....I ran 64 just like you , but could`ve run at least 80 if I`d used the floors.....just never got around to it , and it actually made it easier without em crawlin in and checkin shit once a week.......

Way back at OG and CW there was couple cats that did what you and Krunch run , and they were constantly bitchin bout havin ta get rid of all the scrag behind that the lights just couldn`t get back to , so Heathie came up with the angled racks where all sides/foliage/budsites of the plants got equal lumen distribution from bein pointed dead at the lights instead of beside em.......

Ran em in hydroton with plastic gutters underneath each level ta catch the runoff and gravity drain back to rez for a fully recirculating fast hydro setup........He pulled 4 lbs off 2-600`s vertical in a lil `ol 4 x 6 area he was runnin buncha seeds and rooted cuts 12/12 from the get for pheno searches and his breeding program.......to say the least I was impressed and got right on board , but with my tweaks and upgrades........

My shit was DTW coco in #5 smartpots fed once a day through end of stretch , and then twice daily with good bit of runoff.......Had angled corners and 4 levels of 4 plants without the floor.....

No plants in the corners cuz that`s where all the equipment was ......Everything not green covered in reflectix......even the ceilings.......pondliner on the floors for any runoff.......simple..babyshit....

A/C and Dehuey`s mounted thru the walls and sealed so heat gain would be outside the room from their exhaust.....

Active intakes and exhaust with everything on speed controllers and thermostats for perfect environment lights on or off exchanging the room`s air twice per minute.....

It`s the little things that cause total dialage........Nuff shit outta me......Here`s wishin yas 3 lbs per 1 KW once dialage occurs.....

Peace........DHF.......:ying:........

i promise you seventy virgins in the afterlife if you can link me or give me some plans for those angled racks with DTW gutters. i know i've seen heaths but cant remember where, i'm also kind of bad at building from pictures but i'm getting better at my carpentry slowly but surely . :thank you:

There's some dude over at RIU named Flo (or something like that) who made a rack system...........you don't need blueprints bro, grab $20 worth of wood and start cutting shit :)

Anyhow, that was a long-winded way of saying "subbed".

EDIT: Didn't want to leave you hanging so I went and dug it up........I assume the censors at this site won't allow me to paste it, but search "Going Vertical: Construction of a Monster" by FloJo at RIU.........

http://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/145799-going-vertical-construction-monster.html

And I'm not interested in 70 virgins; I'd prefer some ladies with a little more experience........

Bob.....don`t be tryin ta scarf my virgins....LOL......this `ol fart needs SOMETHIN ta look forward to ok ?....., but yeah....most of Heathie`s shit`s at "invite only" sites , but it ain`t rocket science my buddy.......

In my best Rob Schneider to Adam Sandler.........You can dooo it.......and yas ain`t gotta have gutters with my way....

My shit was angled racks covered in plywood out front and underneath sealed and covered in pondliner so minimum runoff would evaporate during lights on along with all the air exchange since just fed once daily thru stretch and twice after stretch for full swellage.............

Heath`s racks were open underneath with square plastic pots full of hydroton using 2 x 4`s lower on the backside against the walls to catch the containers and keep em angled with plastic gutters underneath angled toward the corners with a drain straight down to a gravity fed sump rez and a float switch in it to pump all the juice once it hit a certain level back to the main rez for total recirculation.........

I made mine simple , but effective.......Heathie`s shit`s a lil more intermediate with mo bells and whistles , I just always needed less movin parts for less shit ta go wrong.............

Holler if I can help......DHF......

Where did you get those little clamp/connectors I see between cool tubes?

How far away from the bulb do the plants average when you flip to 12/12?

Great job as usual.

D

DHF

Those are called "no-hub" connectors with a rubber gasket on the inside and screw down tightening ta seal around the cooltube flanges.....at least that`s what they look like from here........

They`re made to retro and tie PVC sewer pipe to old existing Cast Iron and seal well......

Thanks fer the pics Bro.....Can`t wait ta see major nuggage.......pullin fer yas over here........

Peace.....DHF......:ying:.....
