First let me say I am all about mom and pop. Through choice. Not by force. Mom and Pop grow ops can still exist if people are willing to pay the extra for quality grown with love stuff.
absolutely...its just like the folks that shop at the lil co-op over here, oh my its expensive however you get what you pay for with food, and people ARE willing to pay for the luv, i think the same will ring true with the ganja.....mo
maybe not enough people to make you rich but no'one needs to be rich with money, rich in mind is much wealthier and just enough money to be comfy is "money"....mo

were all selfish.. remember.. the people who are hurting the most are the ones with families, and normal paying jobs.. these people can't grow amnd/or barely afford to smoke.. a price come down was in order.. for the common good of man no less

It's called the free market. You can't have it both ways.

Do you want government control over fair market value, and how much wealth and power you can acquire? or competition. I choose the latter.

Big companies bring jobs. uh oh.. I said a bad word. Instead of people growing weed as the main source of income, they will instead work a job, and grow weed at home as secondary supplemental income.

It's undeniable that people will have to make changes. Those that can't adapt will fall behind. Eventually finding a new niche, whether it be legitimate work or another illegal market.

Of course it's not pretty, and it's definitely not fair.

It's humans natural instinct to expect to win without giving anything. Survival of the fittest. It's still in all of us. But it doesn't work as well in today's society. Actually it barely works at all in today society. The amount of unchanging people want to happen is unbelievable. Empathy is such a bitch, and will probably be the down fall of our civilization. That goes way beyond weed. Change, while while it's happening sucks, can bring a better end product that what we have now.

Again, this goes way beyond weed, imo.. which doesn't mean anything. Take it or leave it.

People looking at large scale pot farms badly, are the same people that really don't want pot legal cause then they can not get a lot of money for legal products that anybody can grow in the open!
Seems like a bunch of hypocrites to me!
I would rather have it legal & not make much off of growing it than face prosecution for a plant!:plant grow::smoweed:

The same can be applied to the current 'big guys'.

They don't have either all or one of those things. Which keeps them from being able to confidently face competition from.. the bigger guys?

They probably don't have the

a) Will to drive out everyone else until the market is limited to their satisfaction

b) Contempt for the little guys

c) Need for disruption of the market

d) Spiteful hate for anyone that grows illegally

that the big guys do.

I hope this drives market prices up, you guys out in cali are killin me with these low numbers.

trust me alot of growers out here feel the same...i know indoor growers who have said they wanna go up north with a flamethrower and torch all the outdoor crops lol. its not really because of the pot farms that prices are so low, its because so many damn people have bud and mediocre bud at that. all these idiots flooding the market with their crap are whats fucking up prices. good outdoors is good outdoors, but its rare. probably 70 percent of peoples outdoor crops are subpar, and same with indoor. too many people who just look at weed as money and not giving a shit...im in my growroom half dozen times a day but these fools brag about not having to go in their growrooms for weeks at a time....

At 62 lbs ..Per day..Thats gonna have other states in competition ..Thats big business ..Other states are gonna want in! ..Now lets say Colorado does the same 50Lbs a day..Then another medical states and so on etc...Ur gonna have a greater influx of weed that cannot be stopped..Its gonna be very hard 2 stop over 4000-6000 Lbs a month ..Only way 2 control that flow would be legalization its like the obama admin. is nipping a "problem" in the bud..(no pun intended)..Its gonna cause a shit storm for everybody else making a living..

Side note : No offense but some have it easier than they think! Some people are actually spoiled and dont kno it ..Imagine Cali as a place where there wasnt a medical scene and u had 2 actually source weed from other places like 75% of the other states have 2 ..Yes cali's ways makes life so much better and im glad cali the way it is but some of us states have a back up plan ;)

weve only had mmj for 14 years and dispensareis for about 8/9 years. and majority of people still get their weed off the street. cali has been locking down the weed scene for decades dont try and act like were all just a bunch of spoiled little bitches who dont know about mj being illegal. you want mmj laws? then get to work and campaign for that shit. but dont shit on med states because weve worked to better our pot laws

I kind of have to find it humorous when we talk about a business like this being big...

What happens when we deregulate and apply free trade?

Does anyone doubt that if we legalize 90% of the world will follow? (I'm not against legalization by the way)

I'd buy imported authentic cheap thai sticks before the bland indoor crap (great taste and bag appeal I have to admit) I've been getting at dispensaries.

When life hands u lemons....All im sayin is make lemonade..If u wanna get serious anything that happens over there indirect to directly effects me..I really dont care for mmj laws because either way im gonna get mines..I live on a NON medical COAST ..Im not sayin eveyone in cali is like that but alot of people have there cake and wanna eat it 2..heres an example:

The same guys whos scared that the 62lbs per day factory opens are the same ones thats gonna try 2 charge me $4800 per pound ..but what if this magic factory opens and im able 2 get top shelf just as good for $3000 ..Competition scares some people ..Now this same joe is now charging 2800 jus 2 stay in the game..he has 2 do 2x as much work for half the money....I dont wanna see the price drop nor an influx of more garbage ..But rates changes barely apply out here..
