Proper way to use Physan20

I've seen some conflicting posts on how exactly Phsan20 is used.
My plants have a brown algae problem and need want to eradicate the problem. They're in a Aeroponics set up. The conflicting posts include
Use Physan20 at 1mL per 10 gallons to sterilize and clean---Posted by RichyRich. And Rich posted:You can run it through a hydro system with plants in it. Run through system for no more than 6 hours, dump, flush and then make new rez. That is how you sterilize your system.
Then i saw a post by Imaginaryfriend stating:
1 – Add Physan20 to your existing tank at a rate of one teaspoon per 15 gallons of reservoir. This comes out to 1ml of Physan20 for every THREE gallons in your tank. So divide your tank gallon capacity by 3, then add that many ml of Physan20. Run this tank for 3 days. Groovy set up a wholesale account with the manufacturer of Physan20 after we had a nice chat with the owner of that company. They are only 5 miles away from our office. We didn’t pull any punches, we asked what the application rate for MMJ Hydroponic reservoirs would be. The owner let us know that although Physan20 is a poison, in the dilution he recommended it would NOT be toxic to the plants.
Furthermore, he let us know that Physan20 biodegrades into NITROGEN in 3 to 7 days depending on the tank conditions. Therefore he stated that plants will not concentrate and store the toxic elements of Physan20 and will pose no threat upon consumption of the MMJ Crop. For this reason we recommend running the initial dose 3 days, then draining the reservoir to eliminate any traces of Physan to ease your mind, and also to clear out any dead organic matter such as dead algae, fungus, bacteria, and dead root matter.
2 – Mix up a fresh reservoir of your regular nutrient schedule. Lastly, add in 2ml of Hydro-Fungicide per Gallon of your new reservoir. Add the same ratio to any top-off water you add, and replenish the full amount once a week if you haven’t changed your reservoir out yet.

So 6 HOURS or 3 DAYS?

ALSO I want to use this stuff in my ebb and flow trays. Is there any difference in how you should use?

heres a pic of one of the plant's roots in a areoponics setup: Thanks for the help

if your buying physan20 it comes with an instructional booklet on mixing rates and applications.....if you've already bought it the follow mixing rates in the booklet

Physium is to clean the the system with no plants....Hydro-fungacide is a great product to treat root zone issues..

have nothing to provide here, other than OUCH and I hope those roots get taken care of, welcome you came to the right place.

But generally when saying someones wrong, people provide an argument as to why they believe so. something as simple as, your incorrect, the bottle states otherwise, would suffice. peace bruv and the best of luck.

Yeah I've used it on plants, Richy turned me on to it a couple years ago, the rule to use (like SO many of the additives we use) is to use larger doses for short periods of time, smaller doses for longer. 1 ml per ten gallons works great and will kill off everything except the plants, so of course don't use this with any enzymes or bennies and you won't be killing off your hard-earned dollars.

my father uses Physan20 in his greenhouse on his award winning orchids...and I have used it to try and combat disease on my pants..Its a preventative measure NOT A CURE ALL

But works very well

Well i used the physan20 for 5 hours at 10ml per 15 gallons in my aeroponics setup. The brown slime looks less but not completely gone. I'm 3 weeks into flower. Should i use it again?

so you mean making up a rez with bleach and using on my aeroponics setup so the roots will be sprayed? if yes then how long and what amount per gallon? Thx for the input!!

I had that fucking dreaded brown algae. Lost 2 harvests trying to battle that fucking goddamn evil eternal mother fucking devil. It totaly ruined my life for like 4 months. Used physan 20 on it. It killed the algae and then it always came back. I upped the dose a bit and killed my plants.

I read Richyrich's entire thread on that and he eventually turned to coco and that was the only way he was able to fix the problem. Once the spores get into the room it's everywhere and your resevoir will just keep getting infested.

I ended up going to coco myself. Best thing I ever did. I transferred everything already in flower right into coco. Just potted my entire plant, net pot and all, directly into the coco. Hand watered. All of them adjusted and survived and I got my harvest. Took a couple weeks longer but fukit at least I finished'em. Been in coco ever since. Absolutely love it.

Don't know if that helps at all, but damn brother I feel your pain. Good luck with it.
