True true, but the coco and smartpots only cost me $50 and I don't think I'll fail on the coco as long as they don't dry out.

I have most experiance with soil but that's what I want away from sooooo I'm tryin this and that to find my true groove.

I think it end up being rdwc, my only run was prolly 90% success and this run should be almost flawless cuz I'm keeping the nute shedual simple and styrile with little boosters which was my problem last run.

And the E&F tray it just to get more weight and to test out strains I have yet to try.

I think Ill do it, its a 1/10hp is that enough?

You gotta check the manufacturers specs on the chilling capacity.

Also if you live in a rather warm climate you should get one size up from what is recommended.

PS: Do your research, there are HUGE differences between manufacturers especially regarding quality. It is not going to benefit you if you buy the wrong one to save a few bucks and it craps out on you the month after the warranty ran out.

Like strain hunter said do research,I did the eco 1/4hp was the best deal around,I'd spent the extra and get a 1/4 in case of high heat or expansion of your rdwc.I'm also one to go just a step overkill on equipment

Its the same brand, eco. My temps arnt to high. I would love to set it at 68 and have it stay there. Now it ranges from 72-75.

k so the 1/10hp is good to chill 93 gallons -10° F and 35 gallons -30° F,what size was your system again? i think youd be good with the 1/10hp chiller IMHO.

Guys, those numbers (for the smaller chillers) are based on aquariums that have nowhere near the heat load that an HID lit hydro application has.

As you guys have all told him, go bigger than you think you need to (but not too huge which will cause constant short cycling).

An undersized chiller/AC/any device that has to run all the time is exponentially more likely to crap out on you - spend the money upfront on quality (and properly sized for your application) equipment and make your life a whole lot easier.

Actually most of the aquariums iv seen that required chillers had HIDs over em,not all but most of em.

when i bought mine i only had my 4 bucket system which held maybe 30gal total, but i will someday get me a UC6XL so a 1/4hp is a must.
