When I flush, I thought I was supposed to use a few gallons @ a time... Like if I were using a 3 gallon plant container, I would use about 3 gallons of water per flush. Last time I fed was last Sat. on the 20th. I flushed Monday, & today (Wed.) with about 3 gallons of water. Is this right, or should I just be watering for the last two weeks?

I use the 3x pot size ratio when I flush, but I may only give them a real good flush to get them started the 1st time, then just water normally.

It really does depend on what type of nute regimen you're on.

Im using Roots Organics Soil. A friend says I should flush, or leach every three weeks. But another friend say's he wouldnt flush/leach using that soil. Even if he "nute" burned them, he wouldnt leach, just feed water for a couple times, then go back to the "nute" regiman. Whos advice is better? Im using Flairform's One part GreenDream nutrients, & the Roots Organics Soil.

i flush for a minimum of 7day's in hydro and 10 to 14 day's in dirt but most of the time it ends up being alot more. i'll start trimmin say on the 10th day but it normally takes me 2 to 3 weeks to harvest so some of my plants get up to 3 weeks flush.

using organics is different, no salt build up and chemicals from non organic nutes will pop and crackle and be very harsh with no final flush. You should never flush in the middle unless maybe your getting nute burn. but maybe go like feed ,feed ,water but not full flushes.

i normally sit my plants on a wire rack over a 10 litre bucket. then i put 10 litres through the plant, getting around 6 litres of runoff. flushing all the excess salt build up and the nutrients out of the plant. It takes around 14 to 15 days when i flush my plants, the 1st 2 times it takes around 2 days to dry after that the plant seems to slow down drinking the water up taking 3 days to dry. my run off will start at 2 on the ec pen, the 1st flush hardly touches the ec but the 2nd flush and the ones after seem to take the ec down 0.4 each time so by the time the the 5th bucket is poured through the ec on the run off is the same as the water your putting in. then the 6th 10l bucket should be the final one. then chop away.
