Welcome to my grow. Things are about 2 weeks along at this point and the plants are all bag seed except for one white widow seed. They are all under a 400w mh in 5" net pots setting in home made ebb and flow trays. I have about 20 gallons in the res with only GH ph down added (5.8ph). I'm flooding every 4.75 hours (5 times a day). They have a fan blowing on them and the room is exhausted by a Stanley blower. The room stays 75-79* and the canopy stays at 80-82*. I have two air stones going in the res 24 hours a day.










I am having a couple of issues. Any help is much appreciated as i am a total newb. First is some leaf curl:






And is this from having the light too close? (It was closer)

Hooked the hood up to the blower tonight. Temps have been in the mid 70s.


I'm not getting the curling on the new growth. Maybe the PH had swung a bit to much in the beginning? What do you guys think?


How does everyone get the water back out of the res when you change it? I was thinking about using the flood pump with a piece of hose attached.

Thats the plan... fill the room and the closet that goes with it. The room is about 10'x11' and the closet is a little bigger than 3'x5'. The closet houses the ballasts, exhaust fans and supplies. I'm going to partition a section of the room for moms and clones. It won't all happen at once but I own the property so I can think long term.

How many gph was the pump and were you happy with how long it took to change out the res?

I just got my camera back from repair so I thought I would update this thread. We are 2.5 weeks into bloom. I ended up with 8 females...

I also built an aero cloner and took 24 cuts off the table before I flipped to 12/12. After sex was shown I took 6 clones out of the cloner (2 each from the 3 strongest females) and put them in their own mother table. Its lit with a 100w mh and a 70w hps in a bake-around tube.

24 days in and they are just starting to show the tiniest trichs... lots of pistils though lol.

Got a chance to take a few lights off pictures tonight. The res gets changed tomorrow night and when it does I'm going to go with a bit weaker mix. The are over ferted right now and the ppm is rising between res changes.

Same deal with the moms... less nutes in the res tomorrow. They are bushing up nice though:

37 days - I was battling temps for a few days, but i guess I have everything worked out. We had a cold spell here and it was really affecting the lights off temps. I had it dip into the high 50s a couple times. So changed my ventilation around so the ducting after the fan is much more free flowing and now I have 2 6" passive intakes that feed from a much warmer area.

I don't know if it was the temps or what but The girls haven't been putting on any weight. They seem like they have just stalled... Is it the temps from last week?

44 Days

I still don't think they are putting on the weight... Temps are mid 70s lights on and mid 60s lights off. RH has been 35ish lights on and 45ish lights off. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what you can do to get them going, it looks like they are producing they were just stunted by the cold.. They do look behind for 44 days though.
