Kindmans Grow

Cheers Killerweed :)
We are about one week of stretch away from turning 'efficient' into a cluster fuck lol.
But it is my first time with this strain so I will not beat myself up too bad ;)
On the bright side they are behaving rather well and all 4 are healthy as can be.
Internodal spacing is rather large (about 3") and we have to see if they will fill out, I kind of doubt it.
It is exciting though, nothing like following a new (to me) strain through flowering :)))

Peace,
Kind

Grow update:
Co2: 1400ppm
Temps: 84 (never tried this, but it seems to be accelerating their growth due to the co2)
Nutes: 1.8 EC (base 7ml a/b) / 20gallon res. / 10gallon top off during week and then let it ride down till res change ;)
Feeding intervals: 45sec. every 30min.
Reservoir temps: 67-68
Humidity: 40-50%
Nute change: weekly
Bugs: maybe a couple of fungus gnats, but I have not seen any in over 3 weeks

Notes I'm taking with this strain so far:
- needs to be topped several (4+ times for a scrog set up) times in order to not overtake the grow area before a sizable root system is established.
- likes high ph 6.0 - 6.4
- good eaters
It is easy to say that they are low maintenance, but the truth is that they are all low maintenance until we fuck something up, so that would be very subjective ;)

i read some about co2 and temperature in onee book of jorge cervantes but i'm not sure if from him, better time for give a co2 to the plant is when stomata ( the very small valve back side leaves, you need microscope for see ) is open, they are open when is high temperature, so best time for give co2 is when start lamp in the grow and aspirator you need to put off for first half hour or some like this, like this you help plant to take co2.....

Mine get co2 during lights on and I maintain it constant at 1400ppm. I'm in a sealed space, makes the co2 go a long way (like 4+ weeks a 20lb tank depending on stage off growth).
You are right, the more the stomata opens the more co2 it can process. Nevertheless at about 85F thc starts to degrade, so I try to maintain a 83-85F in my space during lights on.
With the co2 the buds do not stretch at the higher temps, in fact they are tight as can be, they also finish 1-2 weeks faster then without the co2.
Gotta have a little finesse though and not just blast them with 1400ppm right out of the block. Slowly bring it up so the plants don't go deficient from the rapid growth.
Anyway, Lot's to say about this subject....

23 days:
I managed to lower them about 5 more inches :)
They are showing a little 'claw', I think I will keep their base nutes at 7ml at next res change.
Most all of the lower leafs have fallen off, og does not like shade I come to find out lol.

You know, the more i look at that 'claw' look some of the buds are getting the more i wonder if they are getting overdosed. Any thoughts guys?
It's only happening on some of the buds that are close to the light.
I deluded my res a bit so far any ideas are welcome...

Oh No Buddy, Thats terrible News, I was soo looking forward to seeing these OGK's in full bloom, Who was the original vendor Bro? Do you even know or can find out? So sorry for you buddy!
I was gonna comment on the claw look, sometimes associated with N tox or too high amounts of it anyway, i was going to sugest weakening off the res solution a little but no need to now, What a shame bro, i really feel sorry for you bro! never Mind you'll rock out the next one Bro, Look for Strains that never Hermie, i know you were gonna. its always down to where they come from as long as you wernt causing too much stress, probably the high N thats caused this & the claw ah, poor thing.
Peace & Respect......Scroger ;)

Cheers Scroger:)
Yeah, I knew something was up when I saw the 'claw', it kind a threw me for a loop, since my feed was not that high. Now it all makes sense, they switched to making seeds and developed a N toxicity. I think they require way less nutes when that happens, certainly not the amount that a long flowering period requires.
But boy, I have never had a plant hermie that extreme that early on, wow, I think I take some pics before I chop them and let you see.
The original vendor is unknown to me and I have a suspicion that the clone came from a hermie. My own fault, usually I do not take clones from doubious sources.

Man, I have not seen the pictures above in 6 months now, and it still hurts lol.

Decided to share another grow, let's hope it will turn out ok :))

I don't think much has changed in my set up, still using clay pebbles while recirculating the nutes. My environment is completely controlled, ac, dehumid, humid, co2, chiller bla bla, all the stuff you need in a desert climate if you don't want string cheese for buds heh!

I'm currently starting my 3rd week of veg, and they are plugging along nicely. I'm also running a screen, but that is mainly for support and to allow some of the mid section of the plants to catch up with the tops. But who knows, if they take nicely to he screen I may consider it a scrog :))

And here we are 2 days later ;) All seems well, been told to watch the stems (dampening off) by my old buddy Scroger, so I will make sure to watch. I think I am fine though since the material breathes very well and there is no humidity build up underneath the covers.

I like the pun scroger, lol!

Things are moving fast now, I love how they push when things are dialed :))

Cheers Scroger, I'm always up for special things :)) Things are looking good on your end! I like it. If you want we can talk a bit about CGE growing. For me it is the only way to get consistent results year around in my climate zone. But it can be very frustrating in the beginning.
