Too bad huh?

Either way, it astounds me that people (even those who live in "legal" states) post photos of larger commercial grows....there's a point where you can get a little too comfortable....

Actually I do agree with that. I can understand the need of small closet growers to post pics either to show off or show other small growers how to do things. These big commercial grows the people should get more then enough reward from the grow that they don't need to show off and nobody needing to know how to grow has any business trying to run a commercial grow. Personally if I had a large commercial grow that was successful I wouldn't be posting on any canna sites at all, but that's just me.

some of the larger grows are actually state legal. one of them i was reading about recently was even insured and on a police patrol list. it took the guy months of paperwork and lawyers fees, but peace of mind is priceless.

especially when you consider the amount of money to be had by a commercial grower.

No doubt. I wouldn't even be browsing ICMag if I was still doing multi-kw ops...lol....

I can't even take that "state legal" bit seriously. Pot's still federally illegal...

It's just plain stupid to post stuff like that up publicly...almost as bad as talking to people locally about the fact that you grow herb...no doubt there is a lot to be learned from threads like that, but the people posting them are sloppy sloppy sloppy. The commercial growers who last are the ones you never hear about....funny how the "anonymity" of the internet makes everyone forget the 1st rule of growing herb....hint, it's just like fight club, except for the federal prison part ;)

most of the growers in large commercial ops are bit players in real life; partners and whatnot.... on the internet they're the whole show

personally i wish there were MORE grows on icmag... seems like there have been a lot of users who don't grow or share their grows coming into other growers threads and setting them straight in regards to all the stupid things they noticed the grower do while reading through the thread just to be helpful you know or guys who used to grow but got so good at it they don't have to grow anymore and if we were really up on stuff we'd remember the one thread they had back at og where they blew it up with a 400watter or something to that effect

Very solid point, wouldn't doubt it at all :tiphat: Can you imagine how the major investors in a large op would feel if one of the other partners' little brother was posting photos of their federal-ass-fuck of a grow?

I do understand people not posting grows, I posted several but eventually it got tedious and there wasn't much that was really that different from one to another. So I stopped, mainly to give me more time working with the plants by spending less time trying to show them off. I certainly wouldn't expect anyone to remember one thread from years ago of a really good grow and still honor me as some expert though.

I love the larger grows but I think that some of them could be a little more efficent, if I was paying for all that power I'd make sure and get every pennies worth :bigeye:
