welcome guys,

muddy waters, i order from seed boutique or seed bay, both sites are ran by the creator of these forums, mr gypsy nirvana. ive never had a problem ordering from either site. the main difference is seed bay is more auction style and is money order only, and seed boo takes credit cards.

canigetsum. i havent noticed anything too out of the ordinary out there. but its cold and im inside alot.

I hear ya, I hear ya...

But, Ive had the worst PM and mites, treated naturally, and dont have any symptoms now. Im not saying living with flared up symptoms is showing skill, I like clean buds. I agree completely that it is way harder with a perpetual set up. Im just saying it IS possible, and I think its headier.

It is shitty to pass it along to other growers though (sorry to anyone who's gotten it from me ;)).. you've just gotta quarantine right away and spray what you spray I guess.

I dont think PM or Eagle20 are acceptable for someone with compromised immunity to smoke. I dont think PM will hurt the rest of us, but of course nobody WANTS to ingest mildew! I dont.

Thanks for the discussion gentleman.. agree to disagree?

love ya!
enjoy the snow...

Couple random thoughts for yah Amber
This is sorta like organic vs non organic arguement..no right or wrong - just opinions..... both approaches can be toxic if mis-used.....
What about geneticly bioengineared plants.Like the 'STARLINK' corn....Got disease resistancy spliced right to the corn genes.
At least being aware and making informed choices for ourselfs is a start.:ying:
Always start with the least intrusive approach and move accordingly.

Very nice camo.

I've had good luck using spinosad for... pretty much everything that would invade a garden. Indoor or out.

Absolutely agree.

GMO is sketchy for the regular farmer. The corporations that create GMO species can claim ownership of any plant that contains their genetic pollution.

Farmers who have saved seeds for generations have had crops contaminated by nearby genetically modified crops with out even realizing it. Corporations routinely sue farmers or seize their crops because of this genetic ownership... :pirate:

GMO varieties are made to be used with certain brands of chemicals and pesticides(the brands owned by the companies making gmo) and are not necessarily resistant to diverse environmental conditions. imo nothing more diverse resistant and dynamic than mother nature...

GMO crops are a whole different game, you'll never see me defending those...

That being said, used properly eagle (with other fungicides and solutions against pm) has no ill effect on the smoker or any sort of ecosystem (to my knowledge, at least). That's why people rotate what they use on their plants... so they don't get "super mites" or super resilient pm like we've seen in cali.

Is it organic? No.
Organic doesn't automatically equal better, though... Aside from throwing all your cuts out and starting fresh, nothing else I've seen will actually kill the pm. I don't care if you haven't seen it for 1 and 1/2 years, its still there...

After using the eagle, go to town with the sulfer, neem and serinade. They are great preventative measures!!

I'm just trying to understand how eagle is bad for the smoker if by the time the plant is harvested it's been out of the plant's system for 1-2 months... I know that some of my buds reach medical patients, I think the possibility having them smoke pm and end up in the hospital is about the most unheady thing I could do...

For reals. :D

I love me a good debate :joint:

Here's some blueberry!

You can purchase Nirvana strains from Seed Boutique. They are showing Wonder Woman (which I grew recently), but the other 2 strains you mention are not listed. I've grown 3 of the current strains and love them all. I think Nirvana is one of the most under-rated vendors in the business.

mgk :tiphat:

did you check the msds or read the product label?
eagle20ew is catagorized as a hazardous chemical. It is known to cause reproductive and developmental toxicity and is a suspected endocrine disruptor. At least one of the ingredients is a known carcingon. it can cause lesions, ulcerations and eye damage upon contact and is known to effect the liver, testes, adrenal gland, kidney, thyroid, central nervous system, lungs, and urinary tract. you cant breathe the vapors and it says you should call poison control if you come in contact with this product.

It is highly toxic to aquatic organisms, toxic to birds, and also kills honeybees and fish.

the label clearly states: "do not use treated plant material for food and feed"
it specifies that sunflowers, maple and walnut trees that have been sprayed can not be used in food production of any kind, ever. though it says it can be sprayed in orchards it does not say that the fruits of the orchard can then be eaten, just "do not use treated plant material for food and feed"

even if the orchard fruits were safe to eat(which it sounds like they are not), the fact that some plants are rendered completely un-ingestible after spraying makes me think we should at least know how it specifically interacts with cannabis before we use and ingest it.

"eagle 20EW is a locally systemic fungicide having protectant and curative properties that will translocate to new growth" it is not staying contained specifically to the vegetative matter that was sprayed. new growth will contain the systemic fungicide.

just because the product stops working after 30 days does not mean it is out of the plants system.

i know i dont want to smoke something thats known to not be safe to touch or eat.

this product is a nasty fungicide floating in cancerous paint thinner(naphthalene). im all set.

also, with the known hormonal influence of this product, should breeders really be using it at all?? phyto hormones are almost identical to human hormones, I would be worried about genetic damage to my seedline.

couldn't agree more..........some people dont mind poisoning the enviroment or their patients.........As long as the yeild is'nt affected by pm or pests and i dont buy for a second that they just dont know how harmfull it is....I do believe however ,that they just dont care........as long as yeilds are good......
