Yeah, I have a chiller with an inline UV sterilizer and also a couple gallons of 35% H2O2 which I use religiously - appreciate the response.

Here we are now...stripped em down a little. They are drinking like crazy causing my EC to plummet as they are auto topped/diluted with RO. Need to start adding back nutes more often then once a week.

Tomorrow will be 1st day of 12hr darkness.

I have ran into a bit of a problem. I lost an entire healthy plant to my decision to go 100% mediumless. When I initially put these clones in the neoprene they were longer clones and most touched the bottom of my net pot. Because of this and the lack of busting bubbles like a traditional SWC system the majority of my root system developed below the netpot rather then anchoring into the bottom & sides of the cup as I've had previous success with. I now realize its super important on how the clones are "wedged" into the neoprene as they start to develop.

While I have an assload of roots below the cup they lack good connection to the trunk of the plant. The plant got top heavy and ripped itself away from its root mass. A major weak link in my method here. Going to have to trellis them ASAP. A V shape from ceiling to floor.

I dont think this mediumless technique is the fault of this.. I just planted them too low in the neoprene. Might toss some stones under each plant in this system's future smaller veg stadium...as well as start them higher wedged in the neoprene. I need initial trunck/root growth to grow INTO my net cup - not below it. These clones were not heavily rooted from my buddies aero cloner, but just had a few main roots coming off the stems. I think having very well rooted aeroponic cuts before going into the system would have did a lot to prevent this.

Hydroton would have just been the easier answer here, but thats no fun!

Now I have a big ol' gap in our canopy. Dammit. Hopefully the stretch will fill it in.

Definitely have to trellis them asap before more tragedies occur and hoping things dont stretch way out of control. Should be fun from here on out - or it'll be a total disaster. lol

Still on 3000w right now.

Brilliant!!

The Days Fly By

Will look into the unistrut! Thanks!

Appreciate everyone's interest.

Here we are around start of week 2 flower I believe. Its a huge disappointment to me that this setup isn't in my own residence where I can experience the joy of it daily. This shit makes blumat in Coco feel like work!

For being the 1st attempt at this method I'm 100% pleased so far. Hopefully that feeling will carry itself to harvest.

Didn't do the V net as I envisioned, but just kinda netted them up to their own tier. They really aren't going anywhere now.

Still only 3000w. 4th Ballast needs a new CAP asap, but life has been busy. Will definitely make time to get it over the next week. Outside temps are getting chilly so it should be no problem keeping things cool w/ the MAX 14" exhausting.

This setup looks better and better. My gear is new but I feel like tearing it all down and copying yours to the T.

If my clones look like that after a month n' a half I'll be grinning like a fucking idiot come harvest. :D

After seeing this thread I think I can conclude my build. Thanks for this.

Will try to get new updated shots asap.

As for a status update.. things are really close to the lamps but doing well. Maybe a little sign of heat stress by the one 1000w MH, but the buds even while very close to the 1K HPS are looking good.

Unfortunately - We have some water on the floor! At an increasing rate.
I think 1584 GPH pump is too much flow for this system when full of roots. Right side of the stadium has some water coming out of the net pot holes because I'm pumping water in faster then it can drain.

This may be partially due to the eye bolts extending down too far into the ends of the tubes causing roots to bunch of there rather then flow down the 2" drains. I'm going to fix this after the system is empty before next run.

Because I couldn't find a 3/4" barb valve to bleed some flow back to the res I swapped out the 1584 pump today for a 1050 GPH pump. 1050 GPH pump is actually what JonJaffer originally used in system w/o any issues. I went 1584 because I thought the more/faster flow the better but apparently thats not the case.

Left side was unaffected - maybe the roots bunched up differently or are not as large.

Small hiccup. Luckily we are in the basement here and the water flows straight to the basement drain.

- -

The foliage is very very full even with the mild de-leafing we've done here and there. I'm thinking about continuing with a heavy defoil as I fear we will run into mold issues with such a dense leaf mass - plus lack of penetration.

Update soon.

Thanks all for your interest! It make me really glad I went for it instead of the guaranteed easy route hanging lights over coco pots.

Fuck the easy way. Greatness (yields or otherwise) was never made without taking chances. Keep up the good work man.

And yeah... about the drain.
