I have heard another theory on getting them to purple, and that is let have nutes for 4 or 5 more days than usual and then flush till day 60 and up to day 65. the idea is that the plant will start to purple when it decides it is done.

I think this combined with your flushing method might do the trick. I would really like to be able to get one of my lvpk's to purp all the way to the bottom, and nice and dark. I will try it on one of my experimental pk's in the future, but for now I need to stay on a schedule, or i wont have any thing to smoke

also you do realize that asteroid is gonna be the dankest purple haze on the planet. that just clicked when I was listening to Jimmi Hendrix last night

^anything that helps trick it into dying because it is winter would help i think; but only a proper combo of many things will get this girl to go deep purple...... I wonder if the band deep purple is named after some good purple herb, wouldnt surprise me

theres ton of tricks to get it purpler. but it seems to purple natrually . which i think is best .. usin a good flush. do ya think that freezin the whole plant like like would affect taste. i can care less how purple it looks if it tastes great.

hey DG here in cali alot of the commerical guys use this shit called PurpleMaxx to help them turn purple, or nigerian as some of my friends like to say. you have the latins (half purp colored) and then you have the africans which are all purple... also run an AC in there at night and bring temps down into the 50-60 range and you should see more color......i know a shitload of guys running GDP and this is their trick. non purple strains i ran (strawberry cough) turned purple when we dropped night temps into 50-60s...

a lot of the food you eat is frozen (for long periods of time)... freezing the plant for 5 days does NOTHING to the taste... i grew out a few LVPKs and pulled some early cuz they finished early... i also froze some... all tasted like da supa danks!

i was never going to let out this secret of mine, but its OUT! not too many people freeze their plants after chopping- I was lucky enough to get to do it when an emergency out of state trip popped up right around harvest time...

went out and bought a chest freezer, chopped down 70 plants, garbage bagged them, and froze. when i came back from this "vaca" i pulled out the plants and they were ALL purple. I had 6+ diff strains and they ALL turned purp...

i thought i was seeing shit at first, so i hung dry them with 2 fans blowing on them to prevent mold from brewing....

when they were completely dried they truly were deep purple, a color at that I thought at first was a figment of my imagination when i hung them when they were still frozen/wet, but NOPE- they were purp...

forget all your AC and purple maxx triks... listen to what i say here... i DO NOT BULLSHIT.... i cant believe i never loaded any pics up here... i HAVE to have some pics somewhere... my last toshiba laptop harddrive went out on me and fucked me on most of my pics, but i have a feeling i loaded pics up here somewhere...

chest freezing is the way to go if you want to have that PURP! don't tell yer friends! every damn body will be doing it if the word gets out! ill be chopping down in 50 days - ill have to document that shit then... perhaps THEN i will start getting some believrs..

150$ chest freezer...

word to yo motha..

I got a free sample of Purple Maxx so I gave it a run. The Purple Maxx works great for frost, rock hard buds and color, all though I do believe it may have caused a few male flowers on the lower LVPK buds. The best part about it, I had another room 10-14 days into flower, the end result was a few s1 seeds. It did turn the BBK almost completely Purple without nanners. Some of the best finished product Ive grown. Lone Wolf, do ya think flowers could be thrown into the freezer after running them through a spin pro trimmer? My biggest concern would be loosing trich's due to the freeze. Here's the thing, I love LVPK for the flavor and amazing buzz, not the color or the name. Unfortunately as DG has mentioned the name calls for the color. Regardless, you've done a fine job DomanicanGreen, the LVPK is a sure winner. Peace, pot and karma. One Love:ying:

thanks everyone for the kind words..i been doing some new studies on the purple color and think its working.i been leting my ph swing to 6.0 and the purple and trichs are coming out i guess it tricks the plant to protect itself when ph swings above average 5.6 ph for me and now i let it go up to 6.0 so next feeding will try 6.5 ph and i know it will purple the hell up because it eats the rest of available nutrients in that ph range of 6.5 soom picks coming up tomorrow and the beans are doing great

that means its eating the phosphorous. a good ph range is very important for all stages. 5.5 to 5.8 is vital for N and 5.9 to 6.5 for phos. i used to remember all the ideal ranges for everything, but its a lot of info i gotta refresh my memory. in flush I take it to 5.5 and let it swing to 7 which happens within 12 hours always, and then change all the water everyday. my mistake was I have been using clearex till the end. i think i will get some great color by cutting the clearex off after day 2 flush.
