ive only had these nike lunarlons since the begining of the summer ther're running shoes and i paid around 100 for them and i just threw them in my washer& dryer and i pull them out to see that all the way around is peeling apart to some degree and the middle has completley pulled away from the heel (just from washing them this one time). im friggin pissed, are more people seeing problems with nike or in the quality of your sneakers in general ? ive got jordans that despite average use since 2008 has held up just fine :dunno:

...most shoes are made in sweatshops and/or labor intensive workplaces in which the quality is usually not up to par...then the manufacturer sells the shoes (which originally cost what like $5 in wages and materials to make) for $100...use zappos and read reviews, and don't buy nikes.

The dishwasher might be a safer bet....its much gentler;) and works....try it you will be surprised....oh and i would say air drying shoes is must unless you have a "shoe drying rack" for the inside of the dryer which sets them in place so they dont move

I just wear flip flops for $1.00 and they last me a long time plus if theirs any flies in the casa it makes a good fly swatter and they come in many colors but I never wear socks with them.

My dress shoes when I'm wanting to look fly are bought at the local salvation army stores as I found a nice pair for $4.00 that look almost like nucky on Boardwalk Empire :bandit:

I am in the 'cleaning industry' and I can tell you its not a good idea , period...

Not being a a$$hole.. just not a good idea.

Shoe quality has definitely declined over time, and today its hard to find quality long lasting footwear, for a cheap price. A pair that will last 5 years or so, might cost 150-200 or more.

Sneakers are the worst as far as durability and longevity, they literally start falling apart the minute you begin wearing them. I realize sneakers have become fashionable these days, but thats about it, because you can't really take sneakers seriously, or do any serious task in them, or rely on them for too long. Sneakers do have their place, for comfort, sports, strolling and fashion, but alot of people are fed up, and want a real shoe.

I would get a nice pair of leather boots or shoes, maybe some other durable material, if you don't like leather. These last forever, with proper care, and give you a no-bullshit kinda feeling when wearing them.

Research is key, you want to get a good durable shoe that you can wear everyday and rely on in all circumstances. Also keep a few pairs of sneaks, but don't use them all the time, or you'll be buying 4 pairs a year. Its amazing how sneakers disintegrate, and they sell them as shoes, obviously a capitalist free market scam, or they are only intended for super casual use.

Shoot, Costco has Court Classics for %15 a pair. Been buying these for years, lol. They are not bad at all, however I have better sneakers. The Court Classics are for gardening, painting ext. Have to love Costco however. They got some real nice hoodies for $10 right now.

Ha Ha court classics! I had a buddy growing up who's dad was like you. court classics only lol. He had a green pair for lawn mowing, they used to be white lol.

ADIDAS, shell toes and super stars are still going strong...ive had a couple pairs for going on 2-3 years, still look almost new.....good quality....

I have to agree on the shelltoe/superstars...they stay looking fresh for a long ass time compared to other sneakers. I WONT play basketball in my new shoes for a few months unless they are shell/supertoed.. otherwise they look 6 months old after a week. Lol
