Best Hoarded Strains

passing along keepers to a trusted friend is strain collecting 101. keeping it in the family keeps it small and keeps it alive. eventually someone in every family gets the itch to breed, then that family's genes can go to the masses.
I have my own hot shit. I was lucky enough for some one to share it with me. me and everyone who receives the cut spreads it around the globe. the idea is make our extremely good strain just common shit. make it the bottom line. the more it is spread around the harder people will have to try to top it. that way we help drive up the quality of cannabis.
come on man, you know that's not a realistic way to drive up quality. there are too many variables along the way, the biggest being greed. passing your cut to everyone won't make every grower flush properly, or dry properly or not use AVID. if you want to drive up the quality of herb, spread knowledge.
dope genetics are a start, but without the proper person growing, quality will never be great.

I have seen a few growers get these cuts and turn them into mids. You need to know what your doing before the rest falls into place. I have had a few discussion on here where people say that growing high quality cannabis is just throwing seeds in some good soil and call it good. I pay very close attention to detail on anything that would effect quality. I guess allot of people dont pay to much attention

yeah i hate when people try to say we should be forced to share, takes away from the act. whats mine, is mine. whats urs, is urs. im a giving person, JUST DONT FORCE ME TO DO SHIT!
well I do both because the big picture is to overgrow the world. also the people we give it to have skills, and generally spread it on because we share our point and the people they do have done the same. confirmed. so maybe you should join in and spread your best strains. its fun
I will be the first to admit that most get the mids. I dont have a huge grow. All of my fire is not much. I might get 1/4lb from my grow of super quality bud. The stuf that does not pass the test is given away. The stuf that does is mine but I do share in smoke sessions with friends. They sure do come arround allot when Im harvesting lol
I have been for 6 years, to many many excellent growers around the country. but when it comes to the really special ones, I give the "do not pass" on it, because even though I trust them and know they will do the strain justice, I don't know who it could get passed to beyond that. thus not spreading quality cannabis, just giving quality genetics a bad name when bad growers get good things.
ya but any connoisseur can tell the difference between quality grown herb and badly grown herb, and would know not to judge a strain with out having a quality sample.

everytime i smoke poorly grown og i think back to 1996/97 when i was smoking THE SHIT. nobody had it nobody would give it up - unless there was a serious exchange of $$$. the only folks who were going to get it were going to do it right - they were too vested to fail.
its a huge difference nowadays... with every low-skill "pot is easy to grow: lights, clones, action" tom, dick, and harry able to go to pick up a og clone at the local dispensary for a few shillings... its no wonder what used to be a sure thing has become a joke about hype. THANKS TO THE SHITTY GROWERS.

to be honest i dont really buy into the hype !!!!
its just trends 9 times out of 10 !!! just names !!! any pack of reguler seed from good breeders can yield a stunning exceptional plant !!!
i think i was dj short or some other breeder said that expectinal extordany plants are found at about 100/1 ratio !!
or simply makein a good cross and growing out a large number of seed will more then likely get you a better plant than 80 % of the cuts that are goin round !!!
i dont like to think i have something everyone else has !!!

It's these really big guys with really big grows that have the opportunity to find very sweet pheons as they are throwing 1000+ seeds down and having that ability to play. When the average gardener wouldn't be able to even keep a mom because that requires another room and on and on.
So now your the big man around town because you have found something really sweet and instead of giving it out so all can partake. You decide it's not only for you and your close friends lol but hey I did all this work I deserve this lol... IMVHO then cannabis has taught you nothing and you need to go back.

and id bet a good number of these so called hoard strains are no better or greater or tasteyer than plants you can find growing just a few packs of good seeds !!
its just people naturaly think the grass is greener on the other side !!
and more than likely if/when they do get there hands on it they find its good but nothing out this world !!!

There will always be those who have stuff and those without. For those with stuff who put in years of hard work and sleepless nights; I say good for you keep what you need and share the rest.
For those without, put in some work (more than a 5 yrs @ 6 crops a year), dedication, grow out as many seeds as you can (hundreds) to find that one special one that allows you to trade for an elite. Its what I did. I started with a Blue clone I traded my bro for all my dutch/bagseeds and I grew out a few dozen packs of beans and found 3 or 4 things worth trading that got me in the club.
Some of the so called hoarded strains didnt get into my garden until I was friends with people for YEARS....8 years worth of friendship for a few things.
The whole entitlement thing is a joke, you dot get trust, you earn it. Same thing with genetics, you dont just say "I grow pot" and they magically drop from the sky.
Someone mentioned that when good genetics are grown poorly it tarnishes the rep. I will vouch for that firsthand. I cant tell you how many times I had someone come in to the dispensary and say "Oh Ive had that before from another place, it sucked." then they open my jars and step back "OH it didnt smell/look anything like that, let me try yours." Then a week later they come back and from that point on they only want that one specific hard to find strain because it was grown perfectly AND it is ACTUALLY the real deal cut. So many fakes floating around med states it is almost certain 7/10 times the cut you got aint the cut its supposed to be.
AND yes there is a lot of hype that surrounds many strains. BUT when you find those elites that match the taste/ high you r body chemistry likes, it becomes hard to find strains that match up. I can go a week without herb and smoke some regular old blueberry and it gets me quite high for a couple of hours. I can go a week without herb and then smoke some Og Kush and I nearly black out and am fucked up for the better part of 5 hrs. There is a difference.
