Well, here I go again.
This will be round four for me, I ain't had much luck yet but I ain't givin up. My first three runs I had and did EVERY nooby mistake ya could make. Bad soil mix's, to much ferts, to little ferts, to much water, to little water, to hot, to cold.... Whew! Lets try again shall we.
Heres what I'm doin' and using this time.
For soil I'm using Fox Farm OF with no other additives. For nutrients I'm using Fox Farm Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom. For seeds I'm growin' Nirvana feminized AK48s. Out of my first three grows these survived the best and for what I did get it was killer smoke so I figured I'd give em' another shot.
As for the grow area, heres the set up. I'm using a walk in closet thats 5'x8'x10', I'm only using an area of about 3'x5' for the actual grow area. For lighting I use a 2' four bulb T5 for seedlings up to about three weeks. Then they go under a 600w Digital Hps/Mh in a sealed light hood hooked to a 6" exh fan out to the attic vented thru a carbon filter (filter currently not hooked up).
So lets begin.
10 seeds were soaked for two days then dropped in 16oz cups with Fox Farm OF, placed under a dome then under the T5. After about 2-3 days I had 9 out of 10 pop up, not to bad. The soil was soaked well for planting so they got only mistings with strait water for three weeks. Seemed to be all they needed because the were the healthiest seedlings I've had yet.
They were then repotted into 1.25gal pots again with strait FF OF then a light watering with strait water. After 12-14 days all girls were topped once. Three days later they got there first very light feeding of Grow Big and Big Bloom, half strength. I'm think'n about repotting into 5gal pots in about 2-3 weeks then flipin to 12/12.

So after all that, lets see what we got, shall we?
Pics are from three days after first feeding.

First a few garden shots,

Heres a few close ups,

Well, what y'all think?
Any and all advice will be greatly appreaciated. Thanks for stop'n by.

famer stealth,

I really like your attitude. It is that attitude that allows you to find out about MJ's life cycle, what it wants, what it doesn't want and eventually what is optiman conditions for any strain in a very short time. There is no subsitute for hands on exeperience as a grower. When I first stated out I was told to listen to the plants as they will tell you what they need. I didn't hear shit from the first couple grows, but in time I could get one look at a plant and give a quick analisis. This is a trait all good growers have in commom and it only comes from experiece.

Nice start....Hope all goes well

Thanks for the good vibes everyone! I'm think'n I might be on to something here. :good:

I swear every time I go into "da garden" it looks better! And bigger! I'll be posting more pics this weekend. I guess this is gonna be my grow journal.
Feel free to pull up a chair, spark one up, and see if I can pull this off.

I think your topping was just fine...once those new shoots grow to be 4 inchs or so you can put some holes in the bucket and tie em to the bucket, creat a nice even 4 or 6 top plan rather than two shoots above the rest...sure im preaching to the choir here but just trying to help...hope you have a great run, gl happy growing.

Well, so far so good. Midweek and all my girls are lookin' great! Got to admit that I've been a little nervous the past few days waiting for some kind of sign that I over fed. I know I fed um 1/2 strength but.......... I also know my luck. LOL! But so far so good.
I'll be posting up more pics this weekend, I'm thinkin' every Sat night that way I got a good time record of what I do cuz' I will forget something! I got that damn CRS, Can't Remember Shit!
I'm making sure that I don't over water, other then mistings they ain't been watered in five or six days. I'm waiting to see some sign of wilting then I'll give them a good soaking with strait water.

Anybody got any suggestions on when to re pot into 4-5gal pots? I'm goin for plants around 4-5 foot tall so I know I got a few weeks. Any suggestions?

Also, I should probably post this in the safety and security forum but I'll ask here. I'm venting my light into the attic space over my room. Theres about 2+ft between the ceiling and the roof decking, I ain't worried about it getting so hot as to cause a fire, I'm worried about a infrared hot spot on my roof. Does Johnny Law look randomly for this? Can they legally look a someones home then use that in a investigation? Theres a small local airport about five miles away so every now and again I get planes or helicopters flyin' overhead. No, I ain't getting paranoid, I know this ain't GOODFELLAS! LOL. Anyway, any opinions?

Tune in Saturday!

Well, got home from work and checked in on my girls. They had a slight droop so they got a good watering with just strait water. I'm hoping they'll be perked up come tomarrow.

I am stoked about one thing, well two really. One, I got 2 girls with four tops each! Guess my "bad" topping wasn't that bad after all. SWEET! And even better, I have the healthiest looking garden I've had yet. EVEN SWEETER!
Still keeping my fingers crossed. LOL!

WOW how long did that take to happen?

The spider mites did that in 2 days while I was away for work. 3 mother plants destroyed. Luckily I've got about 26 to go. I keep a lot of mother plants to ensure the survival of my strain.

Sup everyone! Thanks for stopin' by.
Glad I ain't seen bugs like that yet, DAMN that sucks! I started with a clean room and so far it's stayed that way. If I ever need neem oil do they sell it a Lowes or HD? Just wondering.
Well the girls liked thier watering. Looked in on em' two hours after lights on and I swear I wanted to fall over. There GROWING! LOL! The fullist looking plants I've had yet! And there still only about a month or so old from seed, WOOHOOOO! (forgive me for that.)
Anyway, I'll be postn' new pics tomarrow night.
C ya!
