Hey Thundur, I agree, the RE is awesome stuff! Are u adding the RE in flower? I'm under the assumption that it should only be used at the first sight of a root system through veg, & then stopped going into flower....can u elaborate please? Thanx

As for the Roots Excel I think that shit is amazing no matter what line of nutrients you use I would always want to add some RE or at least some T Rex.... The new stuff from Fox Farm called Bush Doctor Root Drench looks really nice. It's packed full of myco's and trichaderma plus more and is only $20 and you use 2ml per gal in a hydro system so that's a damn good sounding product which I may give a try...
Alright so always trying new things I got some Geo Pots which are just like Smart Pots but much better built IMO. The stitching is thicker and 3x more and the tops are folded over for more strength and they have handles on 2gal ones!!!! Same price too and have square bottoms with diamond tops which makes a great root space....

I saw a add for Air Pots finally in Maximum Yield but I noticed they said they had be resized to fit hydro systems! It showed them in a 2x4 on drippers but said talk to your hydro shop to see what size we have for your hydro system. So does this mean they work on Flood and Drain systems??? If so I'd love to see that !!!

What kinds of media can you use with the Air-Pots?
You are able to use everything from traditional potting soils to all hydroponic medias.
We have seen great results using the following:
•Potting soils
•Coco fiber
•Sunshine mix
•Readygro
•Expanded clay (hydroton)
•Rockwool (loose fill / minicubes)
•STG loose fill
•All kinds of soilless mixes
How should you water an Air-Pot properly?
The Air-Pots lend themselves to being automated by either top feed drip systems or flood and drain gardens. Many gardeners have reported great results by adding a consistent feeding system to their garden. Since the Air-Pot creates such a vigorous root system within the container it will require a little more water to thrive. When given the right conditions the Air-Pots will outgrow any other container available on the market.
Is it OK to hand water the Air-Pots?
It is OK to hand water the Air-Pots. Air-Pot gardeners who use larger pots with traditional potting soils can hand water without problem, however if you use smaller containers it is highly recommended to set up a top feed system. Calgrowers can show you how to setup a great system. Just email us and we will show you how or build a custom system to suit your needs.
Can I use the Air-Pots in an ebb n flow system?
Yes. Simply lower the base of the Air-Pot to maximize water uptake. Many gardeners who fill flood tables with rock are simply putting the Air-Pots on top of the rock bed without a base with great results !
Can I use the Air-Pots outdoors?
Yes! The Air-Pots work great outdoors and in the greenhouse. Many growers in California are using the Air-Pots.

the growshop i use were telling me airpots work great with wilma systems ....
im running 9 airpots 6 ltr with a drip system running to waste .atm
Nice, I have a buddy that runs them on recirculating drippers with great results but I don't like fucking with all the hosing lol.. Plus I've always felt flood and drain was the best way to feed and water your plants pushing all the dead air out and sucking in more fresh oxygen than top feeding.... IMO

Can SOG guys get good results out of these things? I mean, zero veg type growing. I was thinking of going from cloner (well rooted clones with 6-8" long roots) , right into flower in say 1.5-2gallon pots.
Im thinking it may do no good for a fast indica but may do very well for a sativa with a longer flowering period... 9-14 range.
What are your thoughs?

and yeah: One of the major drawbacks with the defoliation technique is that even though you get more budsites the vegetative state is prolonged. i grow in organic soil in airports using blumats (micro vscrog)
i love them.
when i transplant rooted cuts, the ones that go in the 1L airpots have faster, more vigerous growth than the ones in the square nursery pots. i love how they don't get that dry on top, soggy on bottom thing that nursery pots always get.
also i just modified a 5gal (14L i think?) airpot to fit a second plant that exits the pot near the bottom. i cut out a dimple about 5 rows up at the edge of the inner flap of the seam. then i build the pot around the transplant. it's great!
