2% is actually pretty high that is alot of CBD compared to many strains that have less than .5% and even half a percent is pretty decent for CBD it does not take much comparatively speaking if comparing to THC %'s. :canabis:

Looking for CBD-rich cannabis?

CHROMATOGRAM SHOWING the presence of almost equal amounts of CBD and THC in a cannabis sample was made by the Steep Hill Lab.
ProjectCBD.com will provide ongoing information about the availability of CBD-rich strains at dispensaries in states where medical marijuana is legal.

Participating dispensaries will be listed on this webpage.

CBD-rich medicine in the pipeline

CBD-rich cannabis will increasingly be available for use/testing by patients in the months and years ahead.

In October, dispensaries in California can expect to see the first of "a total of about 100 pounds" of two CBD-rich strains – Women's Collective Stinky Purple and Cotton Candy Diesel.

Women's Collective Stinky Purple is by far the highest CBD-to-THC ratio identified to date (approximately 9% CBD to 1.2% THC). Anecdotal evidence suggests that it may work to negate the effects of an unwanted "high." It can be mixed with other strains to create a customized CBD-to-THC ratio. We anticipate that many patients will experiment to find their own ideal blend.

Cannabinoid levels are not the only factors determining the effects of a given strain — certain aromatic terpenoids and flavonoids exert influence, too. Three strains now being grown indoors — Omrita Rx3, Harlequin, and Jamaican Lion — have similar CBD:THC levels (approximately 8.5% CBD to 5.5% THC), but exert different effects, according to preliminary input from patients. The differences may be attributable to variant terpenoid profiles.

Seven of the first eight CBD-rich strains identified by Oakland's Steep Hill Lab (see chart below) were grown by members of the Harborside Health Center Collective, which has pioneered the reintroduction of CBD-rich cannabis into the medicinal mix.

The richest strain in CBD is a True Blueberry x OG Kush, weighing in at 11% CBD and 7% THC. This blue-ribbon hybrid is being grown indoors and outdoors at different Northern California locations, and will soon be available in California dispensaries.

NEWLY IDENTIFIED CBD-rich strain on display at Harborside Health Center, September 24.
Six CBD-rich strains have been available intermittently at Harborside in recent months. A handful of other dispensaries, including SPARC and The Vapor Room in San Francisco and Herbal Solutions in Long Beach have also begun distributing lab-verified, CBD-rich herb.

The Farmacy in Los Angeles and dispensaries in several other cities – Sacramento, Santa Cruz, Berkeley, Fresno – are poised to begin offering CBD-rich cannabis after the fall harvest.

Several dispensaries in Colorado and doubtless other states, as well, will soon be making CBD-rich cannabis available to patients.

Patients interested in trying CBD-rich cannabis should check this site routinely. Dispensaries that want to be involved with Project CBD, contact us by email or phone 707-581-1818.

Thank you all for the quick response, still reading the thread. lots of good info, even if it might be slightly dated at the beginning.

I'm not sure if linking is frowned upon, but I assume this is the strain you are talking about?

If the link is a no-no, I will remove it.

I can't seem to find a CBD content posted anywhere for A+. Can you point me in the right direction, or do you have any numbers outside of this thread?
Additionally, I haven't had any luck finding the availability of TB x OG kush, in clone, or fem'd seed form... or any seed form for that matter. I'm not exactly in a well populated area, and dispensary = out of the question right now. Can't afford to be doing anything but growing her medicine. I'm not asking for a handout, just want to know if I'm better off getting A+ now, and hoping for TBxOGK to become more available (seeds, or clones) later.

I'm only on page 7, while also trying to read other, current, sources of info on CBD heavy strains. will update if I find what I'm looking for.

thanks again folks!

Thats them, now i would go to that forum, here on ICMAG> soma has a forum. I have had, and several other people have had germination issues. I hope thats something of the pass with the A plus strain, but i would go read up on his genetics, and see how things are going with his breeding and seeds. But yes, that is the genetic that is loaded with it!

I did do a little reading over on the soma forum, and I agree the poor germ rates have me concerned with 100 dollar seeds that don't sprout. another thing that interests me, is the talk of feral hemp, and low THC hemp with high CBD content. again, trouble acquiring seeds. finola sounds appealing, perhaps with an occasional outcross to something particularly flavorful, or perhaps the TBxOGK when it becomes more available.

It's bedtime, and I'm only on page 10. I truly wish that more testing went on with results being posted publicly. I suppose that I'll be getting a TLC test kit eventually to get a basic idea of which outcrossed progeny have the desired level of CBD.

thanks for reply, but I have one more question. I did try searching for the stuff, but never found any numbers for the CBD content of soma A+. Any chance you know the quantity?

I was wondering the same thing love.

Resin seeds has a fem seed & regular.

Wonder if those Cannatonic tested are the fem's being so close in the testing amounts.

I ordered the regular seeds for pain patients...........

Very interesting! There's two samples with similar results too. I wonder if they are from the same clone or if the strain consistently gives phenos like that from seed.

I've never heard of Resin Seeds, are they a reputable company?

I'm trying for the CBD% at Harborside.
From their website.

CBD-RICH CANNABIS

Is CBD-rich cannabis right for you?

Harborside Health Center is now offering a different type of medical cannabis -- strains that are relatively high in Cannabidol (CBD).

CBD is non-intoxicating. Patients who appreciate the euphoric effect of high-THC cannabis will probably not favor CBD-rich strains.

On the other hand, patients who want the anti-spasm or anti-inflammatory effects of cannabis delievered without an accompanying "high" might prefer a CBD-rich strain. CBD-rich cannabis is potentially effective, according to European and Israeli researchers, in easing the symptoms of rhumatoid arthritis, diabetes, nausea, and inflammatory bowel disorders, among other difficult-to-control conditions.

The safety of CBD has been well established in clinical trials in England, where a pharmaceutical company produces a CBD-rich plant extract with government approval.

In offering CBD-rich cannabis, Harborside staff -- and collective members who choose to try it out -- are participating in basic medical research. We are taking steps to determine which compounds in the plant are responsible for its varied effects on the mind and body. We look forward to the day when government health authorities take responsibility for this research.

best part about it is, we can grow our own CBD's, i have always worked hard on high cbd strains. and kept them mommed out.

My favorite to date for pain killer i feel had strong CBD properties, and according to my scope it did,

Sensi Star, ( LOL INSIDE JOKE) Black Domina, Blue Berry, O.G. Kush. , HeadBand, purple kush, Purple Urkle, Mendo Purps, any cali purp cut pretty much, and last but not least, Kotton candy Kush, or Bubba Kush.
