I thought it was pretty fair and unbiased, and defiantly pro legalization, they had the typical cop and soccer mom ass clowns spewing complete crap, but I guess they were trying to show both sides.
Overall I thought it was pretty good.
I enjoyed it.

We musta watched different shows HH.. I thought if anything it was very slanted in the directions of decriminilization more than legalization. I thought the opposition bimbo mom was pretty amusing. They had a couple cops and one was pro and one was con. It was just another media production trying to be informational... some pretty pictures.. some ugly pictures.. typical tv stuff..

mgk :tiphat:

I saw it and thought they showed both sides fairly well, as much as one can expect. I loved the pro-prohibition folks they picked to interview, some of the things they said make them look so dumb.

They asked that blond woman "has the war on drugs has worked thus far?"
she answered "no"
host responds "than what do we need to do?"
blonde "more police"

the insanity is mind boggling

i liked it for the pro-pot interviews, but the people who spoke against it makes me wounder what dimension there in, its like watching fox news.none had evidence against it
all the downfalls they listed are because of prohibition and their statments contradicted one another.
good video otherwise, wish it was like that for the rest of the US.

I thought it was fair. The pro cannabis speakers seemed well spoken and offered great reasons why it shouldn't be illegal. I liked how they had a girl who survived cancer tout the medical benefits, as well as the UCLA dude. I'm happy that all the anti-cannabis speakers sounded like morons. It's awesome that we're having all these cannabis documentaries coming out on television because it shows that legalization is a serious issue that people feel strongly about. People need to be educated and I think this show did a fairly good job. Joe Rogan's line "How can you have a war on drugs when you're selling drugs everwhere." Really drove the point home for me.

As far as these strings of documentaries that have come out in the last couple years I definitely think this was one of the better ones. You can only expect so much out of them.

If this had aired 2 days ago, Prop 19 would have passed

maybe...

But still! What the f*ck?! They couldn't have put this on 2 days ago? Old people love this channel. It's definitely pro-decrim/medical. I think it's an honest look at recent history. Any honest look at history would be pro-decrim.

+k HistoryChannel for spitting the truth
-k^28 for not flipping airing this day before yesterday!

yeah the show had a bad vibe. They kept downplaying the pro side and leaning toward the anti side. They did give both sides but urged the prohibition stances more. I saw I think 2 other marijuana shows and they were more fair and balanced. This was not as much so. Still had some good but mostly not worth watching for 2 hours. There were some interesting things though, it was nice to see how the dispensaries operate and the dude making cannabutter.

This brings up another question, is there a list of all the accepted uses of medical marijuana in the different medical states? I think they said diabetes was an accepted use? I have type 2. I have depressive periods. I also have side pains that seem to be getting worse and aching lower back. I take pills to avoid anxiety and panic attacks (on 6 or 7 pills total), which strangely did not happen when I smoked regularly. All these problems occurred within the last 5 years where I seldom smoked due to availability issues and being unable until now to safely grow my own. So I would like to know whether I could move to a med state and how long until I could be "official". Sorry to go on like this, I don't want to hijack this thread so if you can help me on my profile page or via pm, please do. thanks

Thats what i thought, it sure would have helped things.
I don't think its a coincidence that they waited till the day after the vote to run it.
Maybe not, but you have to wonder about the timing.

How about that stupid blond bitch that was against MJ... She said somethiing along the lines of Europeans were not civilized, and Americans, no matter how poor are glamorous, and civilized, therefor, legalized marijuana would not work...WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE TALKING ABOUT!?

I couldn't even believe what i was hearing....What a stupid bitch...and she comes off rascist, not sure if thats the right word, but along those lines....I am American, and I for one, hope my neighbor does NOT think im some glamerous American.....lol...Just a regular dude that like reefer. and What does being Glamerous have to do with pot? What a crazy person she was.

I agree.

I don't know why some people think it sided with prohibition. The people that were for prohibition in the show sounded like ignorant fools.

You can't expect a major network to only show pro-legalization opinions and quite frankly I would be disappointed if a documentary like this didn't show both sides of the debate.

i did find this pretty good, a reasonable balance of pro/anti viewpoints
but the blond was priceless, she was worth the 2 hours by herself
we have to sign her to some kind of contract for the next legalization vote
run a few weeks worth of commercials with her, and legalization will be a lock
