This is the hose i use. Its generic garden hose. comes in all sorts of diameters, is flexible and is made of RUBBER. not plastic.. Extremely durable and i have never had a problem with offgassing. I use only marine safe sillicon caulking for leak-proofing, and marine product grade pumps airhose.

My sterelite containers do not offgass either.

I am placing an order with my guy tomorrow for the new tube. Can you give me details of the packaging. Was it in the eco plus labeled roll or in a box? Anything you can remember would be awesome.

I was over at mmma and there was a thread started there from a member that saw our thread here. And he went into his local shop and showed the guys there. They call NGW and faxed this entire thread to them. They said that this thread was the 1st proof they had seen of the tube being toxic as far as pictures. Since then that shop has found 30 -40 of their customers with this problem. So shit is hitting the fan over at NGW's offices right now. We are seeing the back pedaling already. If they changed their formula then might as well have admitted it in my book.

I just want to chime in and say that since I got rid of my NGW 1/2 inch, and my un-marked tubing 3/4 inch....

that my plants have never looked so healthy and never been this easy to manage.

Of course, I`ve used it for near on 20 years, I` not saying Panda sheeting is an off gassing item, and certainly most 1/2 inch tubing isn`t, just the NGW.com I`m just saying its one of two main suspects in my room. Its possible cheap Panda sheeting is imported from China too, and as such is a suspect til taken out of the equation. I suspect the double glazing before the Panda, in my own case, but I reckon it has to be one of the two, time will tell.

Hey Poppy, did you inspect the hose, did it smell strong? It`d probably be quite a good give away as to whether its toxic, though it may need to get warm to off gas significantly.

I also notice your pvc pipe which also may be off gassing and killing all your shit like mine was. I couldn't believe I spent hours making a net like that for no reason. Lost a whole 1k grow...everything went nuts yellowing and eventually some full blown hermi. I was extremely fortunate to have read an off-gassing thread about plastics in tents and immediately realized the only thing that had changed in my grow which had been going perfect and was going perfect in my other tent was the addition of pvc pipe in my tent.

Took it out and problem fixed. I am not aware of whether or not all pvc can cause this problem but 100% without any doubt some pvc does. Also I have found plastics surrounding wiring that I used to use to hang dry plant also causes off gassing....careful with wtf you use!

Folks you must be very wary of any plastic item you add to your grow room! THINK THINK THINK! Even it is not wholly plastic some parts may be and will cause off-gassing. I have moved to safety of refusing all new plastics or addition of unnecessary equipment that contains plastics.

Has anyone else had plant problems caused by a pvc pipe framed trellis?

How about with no name 3/4" black hydro store tubing?

I have been having a few yellowing/leaf curl problems that don't make sense and I'm wondering if they could be related.

NGW does have 3/4" unmarked hose. but the hard pvc trellis would have no phthalate in it.

PVC may not have phthalate in it but it had somethin in it back in the day I assure yas.......Back at Overgrow and CW crops were droppin like flies from folks using megawatts with PVC trellises and hardplumbed feedlines........

I don`t remember what it was in said shit but it WAS determined to break down and offgas under high heat/lumen concentrations , as well as leach into the feedjuice and as said above , shit was droppin like flies in many BIG gardens for no apparent reason.........sound familiar ?......

It was found that CPVC was in fact devoid of whatever was in the reg sch 40 PVC , and safe for grow ops..........no more problems........The shit was made in the USA though.....

I wouldn`t trust ANY product comin outta China for the life of my plants since they`ve already been caught puttin lead in Disney toys sold by Walmart as well as toxic melamine in their brand and several others of dog food.........

Not to mention the bullshit toxic sheetrock in 10`s of 1000`s of houses across the US that`s actually corroding copper pipes and electrical wire , along with the rotten egg smells that can`t be done away with without tearin all the shit out and startin over...........

Fucka buncha Chinese bullshit hydro supplies.......I`ll figger sumthin out without riskin total crop failure over and over........I feel yas UGU......May Karma spread bodacious buds down on yas after all the shit you`ve been through........What goes around , comes around........

honostly man i just seen a 100ft thats already been cut up and into....

i do believe it was packaged how there other hose came in just that seran wrap shit but i am not sure... it deffinently had no markings and i even wanted to say it looked a TINY bit smaller... obviously its still 1/2" but when i compared the two side by side i thought i could tell it was alittle different then again i could be wrong...

Watch out for ECOPLUS- that was how my packaging of 100' hose marked "NGW" was branded. It came on a cardboard "reel" with the ECOPLUS brand name on the front paper label.

Hey U.G.U. , I'm not sure if this helps but the first role of tubing I bought last October, was the 1/2in hose with the actual N.G.W.com stamp on it, it came as a 100ft rolled up roll with plastic wrap around it. That is it. I built my other c13 cab I had in storage and thats when my mind fuck started. Then in May of this year when I bought all new shit from the ground up I bought a 100ft role of ngw tube (not knowing of course), but this had no NGW stamp on the tubing, and had a cardboard ECOPLUS label. As DFH stated, it does seem a bit smaller then normal but is half inch and definitely off gasses.

I have since bought half inch tubing from the pet store ( the stuff to clean fish tanks with), as well as 1/4in tubing from the pet store for air pumps and dripers. All is well. I have not felt so good and had green plants in nearly a year.

NGW makes me absolutely sick out my dick hole and I will be replacing anything I have of theirs, including my sunlight supply ballast and hoods, fans , and hydro fittings. I don't give a shit whether or not they don't off gas. NGW can suck me silly and side ways. I only wish I could cause them as much pain as they have caused me.. Anything associated with NGW will be mailed back to there hq with a lovely letter of dissent.

Just received my new order of NGW tubing. Like poopy said no markings at all. It comes just Saran wrapped with no label or other identifying marks. I will take it in the next few days to the lab and have them run it.
