Hello All ;)

I am a diabetic and have been for nearly 20 years now and have had some problems with my kidneys but recently just about 5 months ago i was diagnosed with Glaucoma and the pressures in both eyes are extremely high and need to come down..

I have been taking 2 different medicated drops 3 times a day and still the pressures are high and now the cups to each eye is damagaed as well..

At the moment i don't have very much money to buy some very good genetics at the moment but i did want to ask others who have Glaucoma what they are growing and use to get stress and eye pressures down some when feeling comfortably knumb

Thank You Much for any Imput you can share with me..

A pure indica would be the way to go...

A pure indica would be the way to go...

One should be very careful about giving out your address, definitely use a location away from where one would be growing. I would recommend Seedbay or Seed Boutique as a safe, fast and reliable seed ordering venue. (big suprise hehe)

Quoting the Linked thread titled:
"Comparing Cannabis sativa with Cannabis indica and their hybrids" now...
Opthalmological uses range from easing glaucoma to slowing macular degeneration.
I believe indicas to be most efective in eye conditions because of what I believe to be a higher concentration of calcium channel blocking cannabinoids.
These substances work in a similar manner to calcium channel medications for blood pressure except the eye has nerve receptors specific to endocannabinoids (substances created in the body)

IDEA:
One of you very generous member(s) around here could send some money/or seeds designated for "Dr/\SaW" to seed boutique or seedbay, so this obviously financially challenged, would be patient, can go ahead and get things "rollin". Poverty is a side effect of illness not often discussed but is a daily reality for many sick people. Of this I know firsthand.

Welcome to the ICMAG forums and to the wonderful world of Medical Marijuana.
Things are going to get better for you.

Hello & Thank You I.M. Boggled

Your help and kind words makes my problems slip away for the moment ;)

That link was very intresting and indicas do so much to help the misfortunate..

After my eye dr explained to me how my glaucoma starts out i just about started crying and im not a quiter or a cryer but to lose your sight every day in a very slow process is so scary to me i lose sleep thinking about it and i do every minute of the day and fear i will be helpless and sit around doing nothing for others or just to watch a cloud on a sunny day or a snow flake trickling down and hitting your face..

Thank You so much for the warm welcome I.M. Boggled your a special person..

Sincerely,

-DrS-

Dr Saw. I was diagnosed with glaucoma about 17 years ago. After extensive testing the docs determined that I was one of the rare one's out there who just had an unusually high amount of eye pressure. Both eyes usually run around 42-44 as far as pressure go. When I began medical marijuana 4 years ago, the first strain I began growing was Legends Ultimate Indica from Legends Seed Company. I got LUI for pain relief and have been happy with the results. Very relaxing smoke. Shortly after I began using the LUI I had to start going back to the Optician for some more testing. Pressure readings have been constantly in the 19-22 pressure range ever sense. I have grown other strains but find that the indicas seem to provide better pressure relief. Hope this helped you out on your seed selection.

Hello & Thank You resinryder

Right now my pressures are around 35 to 38 the right eye is always higher and thats how i knew something was wrong because one morning when i woke up my right eye was foggy and after trying to rinse it it was just as bad and i started to freak out..

Im trying now to get some good genetics like you mentioned above so i can start a small closet grow with 2 plants to give me a decent supply for my very own personal use..

Thank You for your Help resinryder ;)

Sincerely,

-DrS-

hey guys whats up well as a fellow eye problem guy i will give you a little advice on what i us. i tend to stay away from pure sativa cause it will make the pressure in my eyes skyrocket thus leaving me with the worst eyes forehead back of the lower head migrane. i have had glaucoma for about 10 yeas now along with macular degeneration , pars planitis, uvitis and i had a catarac removed 2 years ago and had a implant lense put in. i have had 5 eye surgeries 1 of them was called a vetrectomy which is when they cut 3 holes into your eye and drain your vitreous then the refilled my eye with a saleen solution which cause the catarac. now mind that im only 25 and have been leaglly half blind since i was 9. my first operation was when i was 11. now i have been smoking a long time and it wasnt until about 18 or 19 when i realized the benefits of indicas. once i learned the benefits i started searching. and well today i have come to reallize hard indicas and a higher mix of indica to sativa work the best .
most kush strains are great for glaucoma . trainwreck is good along with sour diesel and g13.i have tried some sativas like haze but it was too racey then i tried a blueberry haze and it was nice, wasnt to hard on the eyes. blueberry is a great strain for eyes so is cali O. once i try sour bubble i will let you know the effects it has on me. im sure since it is a hard indica it will have some great eye benefits.. well sorry for going off like i did but look at mainly heavy hard indicas and some good sativa indica crosses...

swerve

never give up your sight, and dont let it hinge what you do. always be who you are no matter how bad... i was told i would out grow it. its been 16years and its getting worse . i figure i only have maybe another 10years until i loose all my sight and can never agian see the things i love to do....be strong and keep your heads up....
