Hey there everybody.
Well I have just spent HOURS harvesting 5 plants so I thought I'd put a wee report up following the progress.
The girls were meant to have another week. However last night I came home after a few days away and discovered a little bit of mold in one of the larger cola's. When I find mold, I harvest, straight away! I couldnt bear the thought that there might be more in there hidden away. So that kinda sucks. Also it caused me to have to strip all of my HUGE colas down into smaller buds to examine. Anyway damage wasnt bad at all, maybe 10 grams ABSOLUTE max!
So it was a prick of a night as Id been out the night befor and only got in at 5am so staying up through the night harvesting was the last thing I wanted to do! But...it needed doing.
So I called my bro around and we got stuck in. The plants were big so we did branch by branch and pulled everything off (to dry on racks I got from the $2 shop) We stripped buds off branches and pulled all the fan leaves off. We left most of the litle bud leaves as they were coated in sugar anyway. Once we had done all that we placed all the buds on the racks and hung the racks in my room with 2 oscilating fans blowing air around under them and a 150 mm centrifugal fan pulling air from the tent. I have a dehumidifier running outside of the tent (in the room) with the door to the room shut. I've purchased some jars especially for the occasion, and a lab grade hygrometer with calibration kit. The buds have now been up 12 hours or so. I intend to jar them up and follow Simons curing method when they're ready.
Sorry for all the rambling Time for some pics!
Hope ya's all enjoy the pictures! My bro made the stupid mistake of saying "I'd love to trim for a job" on the drive to my house. After 6 hours of non stop trimming he wasnt so enthusiastic! Anybody out there who thinks trimming is "fun"...mate I couldnt disagree more! We started at 4:30 pm and finished at 12:30 am this morning.
I will update this as the buds shrink and dry, and then I'll keep it updated when I jar them and the humidity levels etc!
Take care people!
