let em keep going til they do turn, when the big fat ones are nice and yellow/fall off you should be good to go.
hey bigwitty, some plants/strains are much easier to make fade than others, and some dont seem to fade at all. it doesnt always mean the smoke will be poor. senescence is genetic to quite a large degree as well as nute based. its more important that you havent fed them than if the leaves have faded tbh. if the trics are where you want them then thats the best way to judge if theyre ripe

I've had strains that stayed green like that. It's usually not a problem.
THIS IS A BLUE STRAIN THEY ARE DARK GREEN WITH A BLUE TINGE NOW IVE BEEN FLUSHING THE COLOURS LOOK BLUE THROUGH TO LIGHT GREEN KINDA LIKE WHEN DIESEL MIXES WITH WATER. THE BUD IS BRIGHT GREEN ALMOST YELLOW. FUCK CAPS LOCK IM NOT RE WRITING THIS SORRY GUYS I AINT SHOUTING

Are you growing in soil or coco,, and were they re-potted before flower?? Some soil is hot as you like better on the 2nd grow,,
happens often in well amended soil as there is a constant food supply when its ripe its done,,,
If you reuse soil or dilute the strength you are able to get reds purples yellows all shades in the fan leaves if you treat them well,,
It doesn't matter if your gonna trim but the OGKA goes a wicked red and purple that real sets off the light green nugs,

yeah blue strains dont like much N, are the buds ripe yet???
tbh its hard to tell you what the smoke will be like. if they dont fade then it might take a longer cure to bring out the flavors etc but it could be just fine anyway.
all you can do is keep them going with plain water. some plants will senesce anyway (leafs die) irrespective of how much nutes they have (withing reason) . the plant has a lot of say in what nutes it takes in through the roots, in fact apart from ammonia type nitrogen they can pretty much block everything else if they want to.
but in future try using about half your normal rate of N ferts for a blue strain.

ok im going to drop my n all the way through my grow i will hold the leaf colour on the edge of light green and not give them to much pk cos it makes the leaf thicker and shiny i think keeping them thinner like paper will be better i have been use to giving them so much n i had it in my head that if they aint burning your fine and getting bthe most from them i will try less and report back cheers for your help guys.
when it comes to drying how long do you leave your bud cos mine can dry between 7 and (how long i want) days, i have a damp back room and nothing drys in there so i have to keep putting bud in boxes in my grow room and bring them back out be4 they dry to quick its a real chore but i cant think how else to do it.

I just was reading this thread and had a thought. I was looking at a nutrient lockout chart could someone intentionally lower the PH to below 5.0ish in order lockout nutrients to force the plant to senesce even though there is still a nutrient charge in the soil? Or would this cause other problems to the plant?
