I need a Shooting Powder/pk13/14 replacement.

I use H&G right now. I feel like I have a good thing going except that I hate the Shooting Powder (also Top Booster, but thats a whole other story). Any ideas on what kind of finishing product might go well? If I'm running a 9 week plant when would the finisher (pk13/14) need to be applied?

Shooting Powder is so harsh on the plant. I need something thats a lot nicer to them, but supports nice bud growth.

Right now I use the REZipe with the KoolBloom powder. Huge difference when I added the KB. Maybe careful application of that could take the shooting powders place.

Yeah go very light on the SP. Its notorious for burning calyxs. I didn't believe it and even though I thought I diluted it quite well I still ended up with ever so slightly burned calyxs. Be careful.

grab a small can of GH koolbloom powder. run weeks 3 & 7 AT HALF STRENGTH

what is the current EC, PPM and do you drop your PH towards the end? doing so will lock out certain Elements, while activating others.

I usually drop my tank PH .1 each flowering week and maintain it daily. I also top off my rez with filtered n calmg+ conditioned water instead of trying to maintain the same PPM throughout by doing nutrient add backs so I dont have to flush until the last 2 weeks.

Now, I don't know if its salt buildup towards the final weeks that starts to fry shit, but I run pretty week solution and there's never too much built up salts in my medium. Less is usually always more in hydro. my tank don't exceed 1000PPM EVER... hope that helps.

Hydroplex mixed with Beastie Bloomz works wonders...open sesame for the first two weeks of flower and then switch to BB and Hydroplex...1/4tsp of BB and 1tsp of hydroplex along with the base nutes until flushing and the results are outstanding...

I think this is a great topic since I'm in the same boat right now cuz I don't want to switch out my Aqua Flakes or my Bud XL but I need to get a new PK booster/finisher other than Top Booster and Shooting Powder... Any help is greatly appreciated cuz I did a lil better than a zip per plant and would like to step up to 2 zips a plant or better...

I just finished my first run with H&G, 60 plants, half finished in 8 weeks the other half in 10. I ran the complete Coco line and everything in their program. I had one variety (white widow) that was not completely happy with the line, but, after running Supernatural then Advanced Nutes, I am completely happy with H&G and at the aggressive strength levels.

even half strength for shooting powder can be pretty harsh. What I do is mix up liter bottles 1/4th diluted and I fridge them and give the plants doses every other 2 days for the final 2 weeks. This is just how I apply them, I get great results and plants love it too.

Another thing you could try is MOAB "Mother of all Blooms" by Mad Farmer I just used it week 6 & 7 and now im gunna flush for a week, shit rocks. It has some crazy numbers so dont go full strength at first but it is a nice finisher in substitute for the shooting powder.

the stuff has been pretty hot, try getting some MOAB at half, lower your ppms as directed.
cheap as well compared to the shooting powder.
I used shooting powder last harvest and it just kept stacking new calyx daily wasnt finishing properly even with heavy flush

Shit I hit my girls last run with MOAB in week 5 and Shooting Powder in week 7 at 3 sachets in 50gal and things looked good . I've heard you can do fine with just the Top Booster but I'm really curious how a H&G version of the Rezipe would go cuz 8ml a gal is as close as I can get to his NPK readings and I was thinking of just keeping it at the 8ml and hit them with Kool Bloom Powder in week 3,4,and 6 or 3,5,and 7. I don't want to do that till I have 2 3x3 tables in my tent with separate res and do the side by side test with same strain and hopefully I'd get a new version of the Rezipe call it the Thundur mix haha
