Hi everyone!
I am caregiving for a person who experiences pain in her daily life. I am looking to grow and breed a strain that works for chronic pain, but also won't break my bank.

Suggestions welcome.

Hey BagseedSamurai,

What type of pain does she suffer from specifically?
Different strains have different effects.

Yes there is a list that may help you on your way but I say collect collect collect as many as you can. Just like grow rooms and locations, what works for some might not for others but the link listed by the Great Doobieduck could put you on the right track.

I will say if you are new to this don't let the POSSIBLE actions and or no actions by some over shadow your help of the others.

What I mean is of the few bad apples that try to take advantage of your work far out weighs the ability of helping the one's that REALLY need it.

Good Luck and Thank You

I would suggest a landrace afghan or paki strain. Ive found very strong pain relieving phenos in these strains. These will dissolve the pain but will allow you to still function, unlike some heavy couchlock INDIES. Also try an old white widow or white rhino

Mostly nerve damage, but her pain is degenerative.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I have heard of Aurora Indica being good for pain. Last night, I happened upon some Sour Bubble (BOG) which seems to be pure indica. I am hoping that will help. I may try out the Aurora as well. :)

I'll also check out Granny's List. :D

yeah indica s all the way, one of my favorite is OG kush. This is some of the most powerful medication, in combination of a pain killer if i have to take one. It makes the pain killer last ten times as long, with twice the effect, this making my intake a lot less, and saves my liver.

Bubba Kush, Black domina, Romulan, Purple Kush, Grand Daddy Purps,
and if you look up on the stickies, you will see Dr. Jays, thread on Ailments, he makes a lot of great suggestions that he used for pain as well...

Bag... i would recomend making her green dragon...

A good batch offers 5-6 hours of stellar physical relief from pain... IME. I've become quite adept at master wu's recipe and would be happy to share... :whee:

Know any good ones?

SCF: I have been looking for a real clone of OG Kush for a little while.

GG: What is Master Wu's recipe?

i would get the Purple Kush up in Oakland at the old sr71, called Blue heaven now i think?

I dont know if they still have it, and the Odyssey, but both of those are kick ass, pain strains. more the Purple kush. Odyssey is a great yielder. But do what was mentioned before. collect, collect, and collect more strains, and when u find that right one or 5, then keep moms and boom you got it. the fun is not getting to the finish line its, everything in between.

Couldn't agree more. The closest I have to Purple Kush is a few seeds I found in some dispensary product. Two of them are growing now.
