Philadelphia Police Officers Sean Alivera & Christopher Luciano Arrested After Stealing Money, Drugs

When Philadelphia police officers Sean Alivera and Christopher Luciano arrested a drug courier, they stole $300 in cash and $24,000 worth of marijuana. However, the man they robbed was an undercover police officer, and Alivera and Luciano were themselves arrested.

Sean Alivera & Christopher Luciano were the subject of a sting conducted by the Philadelphia Police Department and the PA District Attorney's office. Alivera and Luciano had apparently gotten close to a local drug dealer, and been robbing rival drug couriers on that dealer's behalf. This time, though, they were caught in the act.
Since 2009, 13 Philadelphia police officers have been arrested.

The crime was captured on video surveillance, said District Attorney Seth Williams. Alivera, 31, and Luciano, 23, were arrested shortly after 7 p.m. Monday at the 25th District headquarters, where they were assigned. They were charged with robbery, kidnapping, conspiracy, and other crimes.

"Police corruption will not be tolerated," Williams said Tuesday at a news conference announcing the arrests. "We are committed to rooting out bad cops, and we will prosecute them for the disgraceful thugs and scum that they are."

Robbery and kidnapping charges?

Why aren't they charging them with assault on an officer?... what about 24 lbs. of pot?

Throw the book at them.

They took an oath.

That oath should include castration if they break it.

I hope they put them in regular high security prison with no protection.

(edit) not really. I actually dont wish that on anyone except rapist. I rather wish he turns his life around and dedicates it to doing good for others. if your wishing you might as well wish positive.

This is just one of the many manifestations of police forces all over the globe attracting self centered power hungry idiots who have serious inferiority complexe and think that by being a cop they are out of reach of the law, and above the rest of us.

The policing system needs a complete reformation and much stricter acceptance criteria, unfortunately due to under staffing, police will usually take any two legged idiot... as these two have so stupendously demonstrated.

Wishing positive is good and all, but for these two, anal rape sounds just right.

I used to live in a small town in TX. Chief of police would bust kids with drugs, drag them to the edge of town, take their drugs, and kick them out of the car. A few years after I moved back to CA, I heard the chief and the mayor were busted by the DEA for stealing drugs from the evidence room.

Always made me smile that justice was finally served. I hope these pigs get what's coming to them.

Amen! nvthis....I could barely contain myself either reading that sappy crap. They are placed in a position of trust and are supposed to stand for a higher ideal to which, as we know and was mentioned, they have sworn an oath. Cops or government officials should be subjected to STRONGER sentencing than average citizens for that very reason alone! These same piggies and pollies are putting many of our brothers in jail for 10 year minimums for holding personal amounts like 1/4 and 1/2 ounce baggies of pot...give them a mandatory minimum decided by "We the people"....see how much they like the injustices we live daily...
