Bubble Buckets a Cheap Alternative to Bubble Bags Pic by Pic

Lets see some of this fine bubble on fire? I wana see it melt!

I think I will get some screens and do this soon. I've been coffee filter with brass screen not sure what size to make my hash, I've been able to get different grades using a pour method that seperates a lot of the trichomes by weight.

I get a decent yield, and decent quality, but no where near top quality...

I'm flowering out a huge White Rhino that I plan on turning most of it into hash, keeping the best buds for cure.

Man i miss my Papaya, all out of her buds. :( Being in pain sux. Atleast the clones are doing good. SHould be rooted already. Papaya so far has been the best pain numbing bud I've ever smoked. I can't wait to make pure Papaya hash. I've got a mostly Papaya hash right now, mixed with Sensi Star and Bubblelicious trim, but it doesn't compare to the pain killing effect of the Papaya buds.

Here's some Papaya I'm smokin these trichomes right now. :p

Hey DOS. Those are some mighty fine looking trichs!

I'll get a pic of some melty loveliness as soon as it's all cured.

nice thread with great info. thanks. I've already made my buckets and I'm waitting for my filters to get here. just harvested and dried so I'm just cutting the top nugs off of my plants to smoke and all the smaller buds are going for hash.

I haven't ordered the smaller 20-30 micron filter yet. Do you think it would be o.k. to make hash with the filters I have already ordered then let the water set for a few hours, laddel the top few gallons of water off and then freeze the rest so I can thaw it out later to strain it when the finer filter arrives?

you could do that...
but the last screen is mainly to catch it... your not really filtering anything out at that point it seems to me...

keep letting that water sit and pouring off the top 80%...
move it to a jar and continue...

after a few times you will be down to just the remaining damp trichomes...
ready to be dried...

glad to see this being helpful!!

I thought I would try buying some mono filament from hydrowillys-com got everything from 20, 45, 75, 120 and 220 for $77. Thanks for all the advice from this thread, my end product has turned out great!:)

BUMP! I used this method, only I used a 5 gallon lid and 2 gallon buckets for the top, and used 1 hole in the lid instead of the "superfluous OCD" of many holes, as someone said before me. I'm gonna get some pics and I'll post them. This is a nice alternative for those short on cash or those who tire easily (med patients) from holding the smaller micron bubblebags waiting for them to drain, I want to get a Bubblenow machine with the special trim bag though, then it'd be SUPER easy. Lola, when you had your bucket post, I was searching for this, and I finally found it! Sorry it took so long....:

I used to love my bubble, now I prefer BHO. Doesn't mean I hate bubble though... This is once again, great for those short on cash, and people who may have injuries/be infirm or whatnot. Collection is super easy, especially with the aid of a freezer.

Just pull the screen out with the hash collected in the very bottom, dab the outside of the screen with a paper towel to get rid of any moisture real quick, then put the screen in the freezer for a few minutes. Once frozen, it pops off very easily, a flat piece of clean glass or a mirror works great to set it on and allow to dry if needed. (don't use cardboard, yuck) :tiphat:

Usually, I was able to blaze bubble mere minutes after pulling it off the screen, as long as I did the dab dry step before putting it in the freezer. Otherwise, it'd have to dry a bit. Folks LOVED my bubble, the 73u made some of the finest FMCD with many of my strains I was running then.
