AK-47 Organic Hydro grow using Pure Vida

quick update, cleaned rez out yesterday morning and grabbed a bottle of "Green Fuse" referred by the dro shop as a worthy product so I have added a bit to the mix. Cleaned out a couple drain tubes that had some roots growing in them which I then had to trim the bottoms of a few, it wasnt much but enough to possibly clog it eventually. Will be changing the drain to three quarter inch, line and nipples to avoid any clogging. Was lucky to see the drain slowing down in the rez before clogging could accure, sheeeew. gooday to everyone

Day 32 goin into 33 and looking to go well into the 40's. This week the Ak started showing some lack of .... as some of the leaves look like they are lacking......, nothing i am going to worry and try to counter. I have 2 other strains in the this same juice, one i have had around for almost 2 years and they are both doing beautiful with no fussiness so a new strain for this room is on the horizon for the next run as i love the organic hydro grow so far. I will take a pic of the diesel tonight when awaken. All productions are up, although too leafy the THC production since on organics has absolutely increased by 30% or more easy, the smell has increased if thats possible and taken on an earthy funk that did not exist when growing with the salt based nutes so the organic hydro is looking very promising in a lot of ways, and this is exciting! I have kept the EC at .6-.8 roughly 420 ppms and will continue until the flush, I also changed the MH bulb out and put the HPS in for the last leg. I came across a photo (bottom right) from earlier in the year when i was looking for a strain to grow when i happen to come across this AK pheno. Went through alot of ladies looking for her. Anyhow this was a lot of work as they were all self contained and inspired the system i am using now. Easy does it

Thanks Rocky I do apperciate your kind words. Yeah keepin the EC this way I can always add a little if they look like they could take it and not half to worry about burning anything from starting with an EC thats too high. I have also found that when vegging if i keep the ec low they seem to shift gears a little quicker into flower mode. It seems like when they are all full of nutes they get slugish, kinda like a person when they are all full of food. The plants, like humans need to shit also, so i fugured it would take them less time to shit out the vegging nutes if their werent that many in there and start flowering earlier therefore finishing earlier, imeo.

This is my first grow, and I'm already interested in the advantages of hydro. Seeing you say that your AK47, though some specific pheno, I have no idea what mine is.. finishes in under 40 days with DWC, inspired me to get into DWC already. Thanks!

My 2 bubblegum clones are already in some simple mini vegging DWC buckets. My 2 AK47 clones seem to be taking a little longer to root, but they'll be in a couple buckets soon too. Then I plan to transfer them to 5 gallon buckets in the bud section.

Now you've already got me wanting to try this organic purevida stuff! Looking forward to a taste report

Thanks Shafto, yeah when i did my dwc crop I didnt veg it hardly at all and just budded it out with a low EC and it was beyond done on day 39, i will look for a photo as they were just big nuggets on these little toothpick stems held up by stakes. I have one buddy i share things with and he couldnt believe it himself and took clones for him and his dad. Though this is organic and vegged out a little longer i am hoping to get similar time results maybe within 7 days or so would be nice. As for the pure vida, i love it from the soil to the hydro, my plants have taken on a smell of earth that i have never smelled in them before while in organic hydro. About 6 months ago i was contemplating on how to get the taste of soil in my hydro and was about to make a big batch of water mixed with soil, strain it then add it to my dwc buckets to see if that would give me the earthy/soil flavor i was looking for but decided not to mess around. (it might work, on the flush just add a tad of the soil water on the last day or the day before) Anyhow i will be looking forward to giving the smoke/taste report. Easy does it!
