thanks for looking everyone. well, heres the facts: plants are about 4 weeks old in sunshine mix #4 amended with perlite and lime. nute are jacks classic and dyna-gro on alternating schedule. a water, feed, water schedule. also low doses of calmag and molasses, alternating each with feedings. ph in is 6.0-6.3, with suggested amounts of each nutes.
the first two pictures were taken when the symptoms first showed up. i watered with jacks and within 48 hours the leaves did that. i poured phd water through and the ec was 3.0 so i flushed em out. down to about 400 or so and ph 6.3.
its two weeks later now and theyve been fed at increasing nute strenghts with water in between and its showing up again.
looks like potassium deficiency sort of, but i cant figure out why. if it was due to lock out, shouldnt i have fixed that?
oh, temps in veg room are in between 72-80 with 40-55 rh.
i appreciate any help. really!

buck everything but the top shoot off, wait for it to fully dry, then hit it with ph'd solution of 6.5 roughly 400 ppms and you should be cool. water till lots of runoff with the feed so u equalize ur medium with ur solution.. need to make sure u don't let nutes buildup in the pot so u have a steady feed. also taking off all but the top healthy shoot or two will allow u to watch new growth more carefully to diagnose problems.

u dont want that bottom growth when u start flwoering anyways.

thanks for your replies!

kushbana- after it first started happening (first two pics) i flushed and then fed with pretty much what you suggested. and i did get rid of those leaves back then. pics 2-7 are two weeks later when its started happening again. you can see the progression.
ive been letting them dry out till pot is light, but before droop, and doing water, feed, water. i always water till (with nutes and without ) theres good run off. thanks for your help. im really thankful.

have you ever thought of further amending your mix with a compost of some sort? That will fix a lot of issues that people have with lockout.

pure knowledge- thanks for your reply. funny you asked that, cause my last run was ebb and grow that totally went to shit and i did use those hoses! i read about the toxic effluent of them too. but this time nope, no ngw.
weirdjimmy- hey. only added a little worm castings this time. ill give it a go though. thanks

Man, those leaves look just like the ones in the NGW thread. Good luck.

whats the PH of the run off water. Use plain water for the test. Looks like PH issue

6.2 is low what r u using to measure with a meter ? Could be some deficiency as well fix 1 problem at a time.

U don't need to use any nutrients for the first 2-3 weeks with a good soil mix.

hammerhead- i have a hanna pen that i started mistrusting even after calibration, so i have started using drops for now. the sunshinemix only really supposedly has enough charge for a week or so, so ive started out quarter strength and been going up from there. theyre actually over a month old right now. theyre pretty wet right now so you think i should wait til they dry out? im worried about rot for sure. i guess i could pop em into a size up pot with new soil. thanks for your response!

cal it with 7.0 and then use it. when u get the ph to 6.5 looks like its hungry not enough N. Check new growth for any signs of improvement. use a good nutrient solution like Pure blend pro organic grow and bloom stop using that cal/mag u have lime in your soil that has it in it.. The damaged leaves will not recover u can pull those off. I also use Advanced Nutrients Revive for emergencies. This has help me in the past.

The other Issue im suspecting is overdose of cal/mag. Flush the plants with water. These are my most likely issues I see

hey hammerhead. i was under the impression that the limes cal and mag were sort of slow release and that it was mainly added to help with ph.??
been using 5mls per gal of the cal mag.
you think i should flush even if theyre not ready for water? (a question i always have).
thanks alot

I just checked my tap and its 7.8 not good. I check the PH on every gallon of water I mix 6.5. Lime has cal mag and the plant will use it. there is no need to add call/mag until in flower IMO. Flush the plant with 6.5 plain water this will stress the plant and take 4 days or longer to dry out. Use a good Organc Nutrient Like Pure blend pro grow/bloom thats what I use. Mix up 1/2 stregth 6.5 ph and check for improvments.

Look at this it may help u
