We have lost Canada's best female activist and a member of the TY family

Hi folks I really hate to be the bearer of BAD NEWS but...

Our very own Michelle Rainey is extremely ill and is on her death bed, she is riddled with cancer and has very little time left. I leave this Friday for Vancouver to spend a couple of days with her and her husband Jeff Tek.

I knew back in July that her cancer was back with a vengance as she told me and others in attendance at the TY Expo that she had stage 4 cancer.

Michelle tried to help eliminate the cancer by using oil similiar to what Rick Simpson is promoting. She is taking 20mg of Morphine regularly to help her cope with all the pain.

She will be missed by many WORLD WIDE

This really is sad news my heart goes out to her and her loved ones. I allways admired her videos and writings and her fighting for the cause. I know she had a hard time in her life with crohns disease and it made me so sad to hear that she had cancer now as well.
I will be thinking of all involved and only hope she can go peacefully as possible with friends and family at her side. Thanks so much for the good work medicinal michelle!

Sad .. I met her at the BCMP HQ a few years ago, I remember her and jef tek opening up a suitcase or pelican case and it was completely full of buds and pre rolled joints.. Made me laugh thinking about it... Very sad to hear this.

I had the pleasure of talking with Michelle the first part of this year and have to say She is a keeper for sure. IMHO a person like her has touched to many people for her to ever be forgotten.

I just this very moment came home from my father in laws funeral. Kind of comforting to think after I changed clothes and took a trip out back the first thing I do to clear my head is come here. People like Michelle and what she stands for is why. I watched the cancer slowly eat him alive while knowing in my heart I had medicine for him that has worked for others that he would not touch with a ten foot pole because of what he was taught as a child.

Marco if you get a chance to talk to her again tell her I'll see her soon and we will continue her message for that is what she would have wanted.

OMG Michelle.This hits too close to home as my Mom is very sick with cancer.When will we ever be able to fight this henious disease? I've met Michelle a few times, once at DJ's apartment in Vancouver just before Mark was raided by the VPD on behalf of the DEA.

She is definitely a kind soul and has been a great champion for the medical use of Cannabis in Canada.

Please pass along our love Marco, and well wishes as she enters this next phase of existence- her energy is pure and it should carry her far.

Be strong Michelle, your pain will not last forever....

Marco please show her these threads so she can see what an impact she has had on those in our movement.

DAMN! I never met her, but got a T-shit from her and e-mailed a couple of times. She actually convinced me to be more vocal about the messed up MJ laws and the health benefits of MJ.

I hope her pain is as low as any medicine can give her. I can picture her with her own plot carved out in the Garden of Eden, completely healthy and pain free...Smiling from the middle of her patch of Afghan Bull-rider.
