The CBD Crew?

Rick would probably have liked it, he once said to a friend of mine that he smoked just for the taste and he dreamed of breeding a plant that tasted amazing but had no effect! We had a good laugh about that one. Everyone else smokes weed for the effect but rick smokes it for the taste! Might as well smoke flavoured tobacco. Taste without effect is absolutely pointless, that's probably why rick is interested in hemp, it's the route to getting the cannabis taste without the cannabis effect. Wonder if he drinks alcohol free lager too? lol

Oregano is also a good alternative.

funky ,,,are you trying to imply that you were laughing AT me rather than WITH me?,,,,,please take a second look at what i was saying beffore you judge me and commit yourself to a narrow view,:) funky bro:),,,please dont be so quick to assume your interptitation is accurate,,sometimes you might need to re-evaluate what you think ,,this is something we all need to do,,,"Learn and Re-Learn":),,evaluate and re-evaluate :)

yeh,,its true
i dont smoke to get "high",,,,,,i dont like the overall effect "most" cannabis has,,,,,an i defo dont like to get fuuuukeduppp!!,,,in my eyes what i smoke is-not a recreational drug!!,,,,ive said this many-times,,,ive also said that no1 can avoid the fact that what we smoke is a form of medication,,,the meds we injest are of sutch high grade we can actualy smoke it:),,, nowadays my body craves it daily!!,,,ok,,maybe i crave 1effect or 2effects,,etc,,,,but i defo dont crave ALL of the effects and i would rather do without some of them,,,satisfing my cravings is an effect in itself, but i will litraly refuse to smoke when the terpens are missing from a sample,,,i call it "smoking for for taste",,,i smoke to calm the craving!!,,,,im actualy very uncomfy with "most" of the side-effects "most" cannabis has,,,but still i smoke and smoke,,,i find some cannabis very demotovating and destroys ego it makes me sortof ill and lathargic,,,but i still crave the flavour,,,how do you think i feel trying to rationlize with that?,,,if i had my way i would simply prefer meds with less side effects an single componants,,,whats wrong with that?

an with the autoflowers imo your missing the point,,,the Autoflowering trait is impressive in itself!!,,,everything can be improved on,,,taste ,,potancy,,etc,,,look at some of the newer autofloweing seedlines,,autoflowers as a whole have impoved!!,,,,making a positive aplication out of the autoflowering trait was a big achivement imo,,,,thats good breeding practice wether we like it or not,,,,,[[[[i dont like autoflowers but they have defo improved from the Lowrider days]]],,Mdanzig is lookin well better than JointDoctor an the Lowrider`s,,

ive sold loads of Lowrider and ive wached a Lowrider2 grow from start to finish,,ive never done grown any autoflowers myself so think of it what you will, point being, ive seen it, i thought it was bunk, but everything AutoFlowerd and it served a purposs!!,,,it did its job and that was the point!!,,,it tought a bunch of noobs that they wont kill everthing they touch an i thought the autoflower trait was pretty impressive,,imo it defo had positive aplication,,,,,

how else can you get an 5 outdoor crops a year without the autoflower trait?

Of course I'm laughing at ya, you're unintentionally hilarious. At least you're honest enough to explain your crackpot ideas and don't try to present them as hard and fast facts, that would kill the joke.

LoL fishing bait!!

I hear that if you auto darken is the way to get the 5+ outdoor harvests you can get one off in the same patch as the 1st! this is an art in itself!!!!

I'm all for learning but please don@t make the pure line have a trait of autoflower!!

Auto flowers are the least desirable trait unless that is the breading goal

Rick if you can get the cheese taste into USO31 and get it under 0.03% thc you can sell it in the shops legally as fishing equipment!!!

Just tell us what shop bro!!

what's wrong with smoking a joint for the taste? and not be completely obliterated after? there's is therapeutic benefit to be had from high cbd strains... I've got a few strains with potentialy high CBD levels but I'm not looking to invest in the cannalytics test any time soon.

its amazing how perspective can change everything funky bro:),,,,distraction is the reason Magician`s are in business:),,,only kids think its "all-real" just because they think they have seen something from an audience`s perspective...."seeing" is sometimes not believing!! ,,but im sure you know all his :),,,hay, would it make you laugh if my ideas about CBD were parralell with Raphael Mechoulam?:),,it sure makes me smile,:)

Yeh Burningfire,,,CBD is the future imo,,everyones is getting onto it slowly,,just like people slowly got into landrace seedlines!!,,,imo THC`s Popularity is ready to plateau and the other CBD`s Popularity`s are about to increese!!,,,more and more people are relizing that we dont need sutch exessive THC to have effective treatments that suits peoples tastes:)

BIG-RESPECT TO THE CBD CREW!!!

The strain is Purple Peace Kush

Taste & aroma is sweet berry with slightly touch of Lavender

It has a sedative sativa high, very spiritual and makes you happy, not paranoia.

I just found some seeds in my stash of a high CBD Italian landrace called Carmagnola. No idea what use CBD is without THC however.

Good point Thule, perhaps I'll try growing these Carmagnola and see what smoking CBD hemp is like then cross it to a high THC variety and see what CBD+THC is like.

To be honest, I'm pretty happy with just THC and I thought the whole reason why drug cannabis has been selected for just THC is because CBD detracts from the effect.

I can think of many reasons why crossing hemp to drug cannabis is a very bad idea.

When it was done in the past it took 9 generations of further linebreeding to produce even moderately potent plants (Lowryder) and even after all that work, the plants were so low in potency many who grew them thought it was a bad joke.

So yeah, I'll scoff, it's a stupid idea.

I agree with that.. Although I understand why ppl are trying to bring this back to withstand the cold in some climate, autoflower ,strength, etc. I still think you are degrading the stock and this is a very bad idea .Why go backwards? This was never the idea with cannabis..and that's what reintroducing ruderlis . Hemp is hemp and cannabis is cannabis. peace out Headband707:tiphat:

Importance of CBD's!!!!!!

Importance of CBD's!!!!!!

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a cannabinoid found in Cannabis. It is a major constituent of the plant, representing up to 40% in its extracts.[2]
It has displayed sedative effects in animal tests.[3] Some research, however, indicates that CBD can increase alertness.[4] It may decrease the rate of THC clearance from the body, perhaps by interfering with the metabolism of THC in the liver.
Medically, it has been shown to relieve convulsion, inflammation, anxiety, and nausea, as well as inhibit cancer cell growth[5] Recent studies have shown cannabidiol to be as effective as atypical antipsychotics in treating schizophrenia.[6] Studies have also shown that it may relieve symptoms of dystonia.[7][8]
In November 2007, it was reported that CBD reduces growth of aggressive human breast cancer cells in vitro and reduces their invasiveness.
A 2008 study published in the British Journal of Psychiatry showed significant differences in Oxford-Liverpool Inventory of Feelings and Experiences scores between three groups: The first consisted of non-cannabis users, the second of users who tested positive for Δ9-THC only, and the third consisted of users who tested positive for both Δ9-THC and CBD. The Δ9-THC only subset scored significantly higher for unusual experiences, while users of both Δ9-THC and CBD had much lower introvertive anhedonia scores.[9]

[edit] Medicinal use

Cannabidiol is shown to decrease activity of limbic system[10] and to decrease social isolation induced by THC.[11]
In April 2005, Canadian authorities approved the marketing of Sativex, a mouth spray for multiple sclerosis to alleviate pain. Sativex contains tetrahydrocannabinol together with cannabidiol. It is marketed in Canada by GW Pharmaceuticals.
Studies have shown that CBD may reduce schizophrenic symptoms in patients.[6] Leweke et al. performed a double blind, 4 week, explorative controlled clinical trial to compare the effects of purified cannabidiol and the atypical antipsychotic amisulpride on improving the symptoms of schizophrenia in 42 patients with acute paranoid schizophrenia. Both treatments were associated with a significant decrease of psychotic symptoms after 2 and 4 weeks as assessed by Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale and Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale. While there was no statistical difference between the two treatment groups, cannabidiol induced significantly less side effects (extrapyramidal symptoms, increase in prolactin, weight gain) when compared to amisulpride.[12]
Cannabidiol has also been shown as being effective treating an often drug-induced set of neurological movement disorders known as dystonia.[8] In one study, five out of five participants showed noted improvement in their dystonic symptoms by 20-50%.[7]
[edit] Pharmacology

Cannabidiol has no affinity for CB1 and CB2 receptors but acts as an indirect antagonist of cannabinoid agonists.[5] Recently it was found to be an antagonist at the putative new cannabinoid receptor, GPR55, a GPCR expressed in the caudate nucleus and putamen.[13] Cannabidiol has also been shown to act as a 5-HT1A receptor agonist,[14] an action which is involved in its antidepressant,[15][16] anxiolytic,[17][16] and neuroprotective[18][19] effects.
Cannabidiol has also been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth with low potency in non-cancer cells. Although the inhibitory mechanism is not yet fully understood, Ligresti et al. suggest that "cannabidiol exerts its effects on these cells through a combination of mechanisms that include either direct or indirect activation of CB2 and TRPV1 receptors, and induction of oxidative stress, all contributing to induce apoptosis."[20] In November 2007, researchers at the California Pacific Medical Center reported that CBD shows promise for controlling the spread of metastatic breast cancer. In vitro CBD downregulates the activity of the gene ID1 which is responsible for tumor metastasis.[21]
[edit] Chemistry

Cannabidiol is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. At room temperature it is a colorless crystalline solid.[22] In strongly basic medium and the presence of air it is oxidized to a quinone.[23] Under acidic conditions it cyclizes to THC.[24] The synthesis of cannabidiol has been accomplished by several research groups.[25][26][27]
[edit] Biosynthesis

Cannabis, produces CBD-carboxylic acid through the same metabolic pathway as THC, until the last step, where CBDA synthase performs catalysis instead of THCA synthase.[28]
[edit] Legal Status

In Canada Cannabidiol is a Schedule 2 Drug, a category that encompasses quantities of cannabis less than 30 grams, and various related synthetic derivatives and preparations[29]. In the United States it is unscheduled. Only cannabis (the plant itself) and the tetrahydrocannabinol cannabinoids are listed in DEA Drug Scheduling. [30]

not to foget that THC itself is simply a Cannaninoid also:)

the point is that you need something to interact with the CB eceptors,,an TCH aint the only thing that works,,if you catch my drift;)
