The information that you get from general hydroponics instructs you to use 5ml gallon flora nova grow for "growth ". If you were growing unknown strain of indica in about the 2nd week of veg. in dwc. at what strength would you start with . I don't have an ec meter & using ph test kit, which kinda sucks when your partly color blind. I used the flora nova at the 5ml gallon & had tip burning, so I removed a gallon & added a gallon of ph'd tap water. They are really looking good now & feeding like mad. The reason I ask is I need to change out solution as our water is kinda hard, so I was going to change out after a couple weeks just so that the salts don't go to high. The roots are looking good & air temps under control & water temps around 78-80 I know thats a little high but they seem to handle it okay. :ying:

:wave:i use flora nova and it does burn tips a little but ohh well the growth is awsome i have hard water also i change my rez each week like clock work and it seems to work great but its truly strain dependent!!!! i use 10ml per gallon and it works fine i waste nutes because i change every week but i never have a nute problem in hydro you only want at MAX 2 weeks of veg. lets say you start 12/12 and the plant is 12 inches in hydro that bitch is gonna stretch to atleast double ATLEAST probally triple you will want to invest in some boosters like molassas and some PK in flower!!!the hardest thing about using flora nova is shakin the bottle!!!!!!!LOL take care:wave:

You did the right thing by diluting your rez. Without a meter you will have to just try some different amounts and go from there. Try 4ml. you should also be sure to keep your water level topped up every day as the plants use more water than nutes and you will get higher concentrations of nutrients if you let the water level fall.FNG is really high in N which is what causes the yellow tips try lower amounts and work up slowly untill you see light burn then go back. The amount of N that they can take depends on the genetics, the amount of light and the stage of growth. Good luck
