Eddie- Seems like 10 years ago RKS was popular outdoor in rural Maine?? I think it kind of faded away, like the Burnham red-eye... still around, but fewer/older peeps growing it..

yeah seriously.... people would try to mask their roadside RKS with actual dead skunk! I don't know what the genes of this strain really are but it was some kind of local IBL that was a dead ringer for dead skunk.... and mega potent smelling like the sour family... I don't see or smell much outdoor like that these days

DN: Wish i was living here in that time, I was residing in PA at the time and once or twice a year a buddy would have a shipment of the dankest dark green/red haired stinky as fuck skunk.

I remember when i'd be at his house when it would arrive, it was wrapped in at least 5 inches of plastic wrap and as soon as he cut through the first inch the entire house smelled like the most rank skunk asshole, after that package was opened there was no containing that smell, i had people asked me if i showered one day when i had a tripple bagged half in my pocket. That bud faded out in i'd say around 2002 and the shipments became more fruity sweet smelling indicas.

I'm thinking maybe i should give me a call and make a request for his connect.

I remember....Back in the early 80ies we started seeing local stuff people were growing called "homegrown".One of the new ghani varieties definitly had an odor of skunk about it....No shit...We would look for road kill to put at the end of the driveway and maybe another under the porch while we were drying the plants in the barn ,thinking it would help mask the smell of the drying marijuana....I can still picture us drinking and throwing dead skunks in the trunk of the old nova we used to cruze in as we did our business. ...........
I think a lot of those old local breeds got lost or water down threw the years,ice storm of 98 took lots of genetics as did mites and powdery mildue..Im sure there are still small pockets of those who would know where to find a true rks aghani within state but alsa tis not I. ..

i've heard chemd is really skunky but the pheno i tried had no where near the aspects of the 'skunk' i remember from years past, i hope one day i'll have the chance to work with it.

it's one of those smells, you know, the one where you just want to shove a bud up your nose and have that smell all day.

another reason for the breeds demise....It stunk so bad everyones ole lady didnt want it around the house.....I can STILL hear it after 30 years,Dont you dare grow that stuff in the house- or ill leave...Most choose the ole lady and lost the breed..

Howdy fellas,

Mass's newest resident reporting in. Made the move from Florida. Just got the 600 watter setup in the attic and eagerly waiting for the temps to drop should be a very nice change from 24/7/365 a/c. The difference in the laws are very welcomed as well. Possession of 20g or more in FL is an automatic felony, forget about the cultivation laws!

I'm not sure if i should be happy about the higher prices here in NE though. Double edged sword.
