Generally speaking, Indica/Indica dom strains will be better suited to grow in colder conditions, though you really don't want to be bothering in any temps below 15C as the plants growth will slow and THC/CBD production tends to be inhibited.

Though it's probably worth looking into further, as I'm sure there are some strains that have been bred to withstand lower temps... don't really know much about that myself though.

If you construct a box for the corner...I reckon that 250cfl could keep the temps way above 15c all winter!...they sure can pump out heat!

You could also circulate the exhaust (warm) air back through again if need be.

Sounds fun and good luck!

.

It's nothing to do with thc/cbd production, you've got to have a plant to produce thc/cbd and below those temps the plant just wont grow very much at all. You might get away with it under glass but an outdoor uk winter grow really isn't worth it imo, you could still get done for it and wont get anything off it. If you can't start right now with autos then use the 250 with some insulation and do a micro grow in the shed instead.

run the light on all the time (growing autos obv) will provide constant heat should work ,box off a space and pull air thru with small computer fan just for a little air circulation

I had mega-low-temp problems last winter with plants under a 200W CFL in a bedroom....if it gets anything like as cold this winter, you will need to think about heating or you will be fighting an uphill struggle.

use a hps! you need the heat from it. your gona try a wooden shed? i would insulate it inside first off. you may need heat when the lights are off. with autos i spose you could go 24/0, but that will use alot of leccy.

urm better idea why not grow autos inside under that 250cfl in a cupboard or something? heat given off can warm a room a little too.

my grandad used to grow in winter in a cold frame on top of his compost heap he said the warmth from the compost was just enough to keep the roots warm and make it worth while to grow. he was the head gardener for the royal house at sandringham for many years and supplied the kitchen with veg all through the year, which was somthing very hard to do back then. he always drops a gem when we chat about growing

Hi
I run 300w cfl in a 600mm x 600mm x1000mm high box, and it out in a cold shed i still have a high temp problem. lol If you are having cold temp problems "how about trying some insolation???" Even a 35mm of insolation would really make the differents.

Anyway good luck
