BEWARE RIPPERS. read that story. and ask yourself before you rip off someones crop... is it worth dying over??

on a lighter note...nice looking moonshine. great coloring!

yeah, i heard about that dude on channel 13... kinda makes growers look bad but then again, we do have the right to bare arms and protect our property. I'd personally rather have a 150lb mastiff take care of a ripper before i'd shot them.

In another state i used to live in, I was at a friends house, he's an older guy, anyway, he owns 600 some acres and they township pretty much left the responsibilities of the roads running through his property to him after years of neglect, anyway, long story short, someones pulled over along the road, we stop, ask whats going on why he's there, blah blah blah, he says my knife and i are minding our own business, so we my friend tells him, this is my property, you have ten minutes to leave, we come back he's still there, my friend says, look i told you once in a nice manor to leave this area and now i have to threaten you, so he pulls out his 45 and says leave, guy doesnt do anything but pull out his knife, so my friend says, okay now you have five minutes, we drive away down the road about a quarter mile and stop and wait, he doesnt leave, so my friend fires three shots directly over his car. It's at this point when he decides its time to go... about an hour later the cops are at his house, saying that he and i blocked the road, got out of the car, threatened him and drove off then fired shots, they find the casings and now my friend is on three years probation for using his rights.

after that i realized, dont shoot unless you attend to kill and get rid of all evidence, that's why my first investment when i buy a home will be a couple mastiffs to breed/guard the property.

oh and this guy did have a grow, but it was indoors, probably 1500 yards away, not defending his plants, just defending his property.

P.S. Nice Moonshine amber!

thanks guys!

yeah I thought it was common knowledge in Maine that you can shoot anyone who comes onto your property, especially if its posted. I guess it makes sense that that is not true. OOPS.

At least in Maine the growers are known to have guns, instead of in california where thats how the rippers roll.

Agreed though that its way better to have a guard dog than a gun. I think its illegal to have a gun if you have a garden anyway. It certainly makes the charges MUCH worse if you get raided.

Also Ive heard cops need something special on the warrant if there is a dog in the house. But theyre still gonna taser them. and rippers could shoot or beat up a dog so there is that to think about..

eddie that is really f'd up about your friend. it figures though. I hope probation passing quickly for him.

AT: Yeah the dogs wouldnt really be a worry when it comes to the po po's but a highly doubt a ripper without a gun would stand a chance at a well trained 150lb dog, i'm not dont have a fear of dogs at all but if i seen hundreds of pounds of raging animal coming towards me, i'd shit my pants. lol

yeah he's taking it pretty well actually, he only has about 8 months left and the monitoring of him is very very light right now, he hasn't had a urine test in months and they haven't searched his home since 2008. Thanks for the kind words.

too true eddie. ive been thinking alot about getting a dog lately for just that reason. it makes sense. i probably would just compromise and get a regular pit or something though. its definitely would slow down a ripping in progress.

Im glad your friend will be free soon!!

FB did you make seeds with your autos?

eddie.saw, thats a pretty crazy story.
i thought about more dogs! id like to get my one dog trained real well first. but she knows when somethings wrong.

amber trich, i did not make seeds with the autos. i was going to. but i got lazy, and was kind of scared the wind would pollinate other plants. i would like to make my own seeds for every season. i think ill do a 10 pack in the off season and stock up.

training dogs well is all about making them submit to you, once they understand that you're the pack leader, training for protection and other things becomes alot easier, i had a friend who had a rottie that listened pretty well but wouldnt take direction, at one point she lashed out and bit her owner during training, a mutual friend between us that breeds huskeys told us about making them submit to you, he chooses to bite their ears until they settle down and know whos boss but he suggested that my friend sit on her until she would submit to him, since that day she took direction really well, and wouldn't do anything she was unsure of without first seeking permission. sadly only three months after he had total control of her, she fell over in the yard and was dead.

blood clot to the brain, came out of no where. that was a sad day.

He now has a german shepard, this dog is crazy, he has trained him to fetch beer and his pieces, i've seen video where the dog is told to get a beer, goes into the kitchen, opens the fridge, pulls out a beer, closes the door, and comes back and sets it on his lap.

ever since then i am a true believer in once you make dogs submit to you, they will always respect and listen.

wow. thats sick. id love my dog to be able to get me beer.
all in all my dog listens well. but its when people come over that she becomes too pushy. (she just really likes meeting people.) and she has a crazy amount of energy. shes still young, but i need to work on that.

yeah fatblunt youre right about that pollen - a little goes a long way. off season seed making is a good plan though

oh no eddie, im sorry for that friend too. poor pup.

i think you have to make a dog love and respect you.. which makes them submit i guess. you have to put a lot of time into them -thats why i dont have one right now.

german shepards are smart but they freak people(me) out because they look like cop dogs

FB: best way to combat that energy is to zap it out of her, she'd probably like a lead on a close line that you could tie her to and let her run it out. I can tell she listens to you but like you said, she loves new people, which is good to a point but like i said, if she has submitted to you, it wouldnt take more than a no, go lay down one good time and she'd get it, puppys are tough though, all in all i think she's a lovely dog!

AT: You're totally right on the love and respect thing, i believe that respect is much more important or a dog could run wild, after seeing the difference in my buddys rot i truly think that after knowing whos in charge, a much more worth while relationship can be established, i am by no means a dog expert, just going from what i see..

haha, yeah i think that was my friends intention, when you see those big ears and long snout, you know that that thing means business lol

we are trying to freak people out here i guess. I think the best dog would be some kind of hybrid so theyre vigorous.

maybe a chainlink fence around the doorways, filled right up with scary rescue dogs.

1 pistel plus 1 gran of pollen = 1 seed ...like corn- 1 gran of pollen+ 1 tassle = 1 kerral of corn.....pollen goes a long way.......E.C/out

Rarely do i take pix of plants, but last nite i go to grab the camera and its all gummed up from last time. Its so bad i cant make the buttons work at all....Ole lady says im not susposed to touch stuff till im cleaned up cause i broken so many items[remote controls weekly]....its what i get for trying to show off......
Most of my growing[legal medical] involes a small number of small plants.A legit medical grow for 2 plus the ability to help out other patients on a small scale....I use a 3 teired Flora cart for cuttings and a t5 for vegging moms..Not much to see compared to you big time growers.....Ill keep trying :tiphat: later E.C/out
As for dogs, after getting a small pack of german shepherds i have had no problems with either dear or tourists....A carry dog,1 indoor and 1 out..rotate at will.
