I guess you have seen an add on the webb saying there's a way to make easy money online, often outrageous amounts, well i never fell for these or even bothered to check them out, but now im open for anything basicly, Im a student, and getting a part time job here is basicly impossible, I wanted to hear if there's any chance to make money online in any sort of way, im willing to put some effort into it but unfortunately i don't have much money to invest, this is the hard part, most of the times you need money to make money.

So is there good way for a student to make money online?

Auction your virginity on ebay :)

For a serious reply, try ChaCha. Its like KGB but free.you have to pass a test than your good to go. There are a few diff roles you can be. But anyway, you make a few cents per transaction, it is legit as far as actually making money. I started in college and did it for a while during months of unemployment. I was able to make 150-250 a month doing it.. Alot of people make more though. Its worth a look IMO

PM me if you actually look into it

i built a little affiliate marketing site and made over a thousand bucks this year while sitting on my ass.

its a real shitty site and i guess everyone could do it. if i wasnt that lazy i would build a ton of sites like it and make even more money while doing nothing.

You can make money online MANY ways, but i automatically assume when someone says "make money" they mean "make a living"...therefore making $1,000 a year isn't feasible...yeah it's extra cash, but it's not going to be enough for anyone to get by on...

I found a little niche that many are into, but with the recent introduction of the Dodd-Frank act, many things are up in the air:

FOREX trading.

clearly something like that takes skill, time and experience to master...but many people make good money doing it...but that might all change with the new wall street bill...

yeah but i have a job, not much time and i am lazy.
it would be no problem setting up tons of sites like this and making a living from it, in fact there are ppl who do just that. also i have low traffic and low conversion rate on my site (around 1%) both of which could be improved to make more money.

but if you want to do it on such a professional level its very time consuming and you might just get a job lol.

And like stock, bond or commodities trading I think MANY more people lose money than make it. Same with online poker etc. IMO it takes skill, experience and the right personality to make money this way, or the Wall St. sharks will eat you up and laugh all the way to the bank with money that used to be yours. I've tried a decade ago and consistently lost, LOL.

I like Kush Master's affiliate marketing idea. I might like to try something like that myself as I enjoy learning and writing about things.

Poker is all chance. ALL chance...with SOME betting on other people's bluffs. When you know the market and can watch trends, you have a much higher percentage of being right than something like poker.

You are right, many people get into the game not knowing how to do it and end up losing - but thats why i said with the proper skill, people make mad money.

This is a post for anyone who wants to consider making money from online poker. It was, althought, induced by invisibleempires false comment.

Poker in it's pure form, is a game of chance, yes. That's what beginners think, and that's why they end up quitting or only playing it at home games with friends.

Poker is about being able to make the correct decisions while inducing your opponents to make more mistakes than you, while in turn, making sure you lose the minimum on hands that don't go your way, while making the max on hands that you are a huge favorite in. Over the long term, the better player will always make a profit against the bad players. Over a span of a day, or a week, you can lose all your bankroll if you get a bad string of beats or not playing at your best. This is where most people fall apart and give up. They can't handle the mental aspect and variation of poker.

It is very possible to make a living off of poker, you just need the proper skills and bankroll to make it work. Most people who try and make money from online poker fail because they end up mismanaging their bankroll or falling into one of the many traps of steaming off their money after a bad beat, not playing at their peak performance, poor game selection, inability to calculate odds, discipline etc...

Game selection is another huge part in being able to pick out the bad players who you can make money from. If you sit down at a table with 5 other grinders like yourself, with equal skill, who are trying to make money, then chance will dictate who wins most hands. It's being able to find the people who like throwing their money away chasing cards and going in with horrible odds that make your money.

What ends up killing most peoples chances at online poker is usually bankroll management and discipline. People get impatient, they want to win big pots and lots of money at once, so they move up to the higher $ tables with the goal of "doubling their investment". Sure, 10% of the time it will work, the other 90% you'll lose all of it in 1 hand and will be down to $0 again.

In closing, don't expect to be able to make a living by starting today. It requires a LOT of practice, hundreds of hours, before you get the feel for the game. When it becomes second nature to you, then you can consider investing whatever amount you're comfortable with and slowly making money. Don't even expect to double your initial investment in the first month, it most likely won't happen.

If you buyin at a table for $100, you better have 100 more buyins behind you ($10 000) to be protected against variation. $10 buyin, $1000 bankroll, $1 buyin, $100 bankroll. If you can't double your buyin at least once a day, on average, over 3 months, then I'd say keep it as a hobby and play when you want.

Just for kicks, I'll post what I started with and where I'm at today. Take into account I started playing poker about 7 years ago, to give you an idea of experience:

3 years ago I invested $100.
6 months later I was at $400.
1 year after that I was at $1800.
1 year after that (6 months ago) I was at $5000
Now I have a poker bankroll of about $7000. It hovers around there because that's the limit at where I'm comfortable playing, and where I find the easiest profit to be made (following the rules of ~100 buyins).

I feel the skill level I'm at now, I could be playing at $500 minimum buyin tables, but I don't have the bankroll to allow that, so I don't chase it.

Again, making money at poker is hard, but if you know what you are doing and have skills and discipline you can do it.
