Maybe you can answer this for me since you and like 4 other people have labeled yourselves the authority. Right now we have a president that has stated he will not circumvent state law in regards to medical marijuana. At the same time Eric Holder stated that the sweeping raids in central Cali were done to discourage people from voting yes on prop 19 and is strongly against the prop. Others have called for the government to sue California if prop 19 passes. Federal Law will always trump state law according to the constitution, so even if it passes cultivation will still be federally illegal. So my concern is if it passes, with a big slap in the DEA's face, will the DEA drop the hammer, hard, on everyone including medical growers, collectives, patients, prop 19 hobby grows ect? Busting little grows and big grows alike. While some sorry prick thinks he’s protected under prop 19 the DEA takes it house, his business and his bank accounts. Will the dispensaries find themselves being raided, shut down and everyone arrested? Do you think the DEA will not try to send a message? So instead of pushing the movement forward, maybe it knocks it back to the Stone Age? I mean if you poke the giant it might wake up right? I know you will try but you can’t answer any of these questions because you don’t fucking know

a valid point and good questions...i submit we have to draw the line and start change...this will backlash on some...i have little doubt about that...but its gotta start...ive been in very few fights where i didnt get punched in the face at least a couple times...passage of prop 19 cannot do more harm then a loss on 19...IMO..

Organizers of the upcoming International Cannabis & Hemp Expo in Daly City are saddened, miffed or otherwise unhappy -- pick your adjective -- that representatives of the movement opposing the pro-pot Proposition 19 on the November ballot have refused to come to the expo to debate the measure's author, Richard Lee.
A news release from the expo said Susan Soares, who is planning speakers panels for the event, "contacted over a dozen opponents of the proposition, all of whom have declined to attend the event and participate in the debate."
"Some simply ignored her polite invitation, others flat out said 'no way,'" the release said.
Prop. 19 would legalize cannabis for adult recreational use in California and allow local governments to regulate and tax the sale of marijuana.
Pleasant Hill Police Chief Peter Dunbar, speaking on behalf of the California Police Chiefs Association, said the reason for the reluctance is obvious.
"Where do I have a true debate at a hemp festival?" he said, somewhat incredulously. He said the setting alone would guarantee at the very least a less receptive audience than a more neutral setting such as a media-sponsored debate.
Both sides have indicated they are willing to talk about a debate in such a neutral setting. But the expo folks are also hoping to draw someone to their house for some public chat -- which looks pretty unlikely.
The expo will be held Sept. 25 and 26 at the Cow Palace.
