here is a purple maroc(female seed co.) 12/12 from seed grown in a 2liter dwc bubblin bucket...shes currently at week 6 of flower im starting flush today (took pics yesterday) these pics should help you guys help me with a decision im thinking about 1.5-2 weeks left(i haven't been feeding heavily at all was actually underfeeding because i never measured how much water the resivour held until a week ago when i readjusted ferts.) heres the pics click to enlarge....

i'd wait another week MINIMUM. i'd go 2 weeks, maybe 3.

well i did say im thinking 1.5-2 weeks left sooooo...ill wait for some more posts before i come to a decision and most of the pics are from smaller side buds as its hard to get macros of main cola with how close i need to get to them...

Looks like you got some time, pistils haven't even started to die back yet, have you checked your trichomes under a magnifying glass or some kind of hand held microscope?
Look for the ones on the buds to be turning amber, most of em should be milky, start flushing when the trichomes on the fan leaves start turning amber.

while they look very pretty, they look weeks away
from ripe, can't see as well as if i were there looking
through a microscope but from your pics it looks
like almost all the trich's are still clear, personally,
i'd not start the flush for another week, maybe 2,
you'd be surprised the weight they can put on in
the last couple weeks.

durdy the pourpose of me posting macros where u can see the glands pretty well is so yall can help me out with judging by trichome look...asking if i have checked them is like asking if a bull has balls......and under 100x the trichs look like the last macro pretty cloudy some hairs have started to die back have at the least 15% of the pistils turning a lovley orange color....and as i said those pics was from lower buds.....also as bigger colas are harder for me to get close up pics as my lense is so small and how close i need to be.....but yeah ill post some updated pics up tomorrow try to get some better whole bud shots without using lense because lense only shows about 2-4cm if space in reality..and ty for the reply sog im still going to start flush as this is a 7weeker so the breeder says but most of my other plants same strain finished about 7 weeks flower(after pistils started developing).....

Sorry Durka, that last pic went right over my head. I still stand on my answer before though, i'd let em go another couple weeks, wait for those amber colors to start showing, and atleast 50% of pistils to turn (don't quote me on this, something a respected grower / friend told me)

ok so i guess my thinking is correct about 1.25 weeks left as those pics was taken a few days ago.......pistils are turning more and more every day trichome development is continuing still and i seen a couple amber trichs today when looking over buds with the 100x so yep im glad i started flushing....again thanks for all the help was just trying to figure out if my eye was good to tell when plants are nearing completion....

Well, if trichs are turning amber and you have zero clear trichs (all cloudy or amber), I disagree with the rest of the people in this thread. Personally I would be flushing asap and chop when flush is complete. Yes, the buds dont look complete, but that could be for other reasons. Something could of stunted in growth and caused that. When the trichs start to turn amber they are on the decline and it's time. That's my personal take.

From looking at your pics those trichs look fairly milky to me . The buds haven't got as much orange hairs on them as you usually see but the trichs look ready to go and that's the ultimate indicator. If they're all cloudy now and you wait another three weeks then surely they'll start to degrade.

I'm around this stage myself now, about 70% milky, 20% clear and 10% Amber and I'll be chopping in three days.

How about taking a test sample?

and fyi im just using a 250 hps cooltubed + 96w of fluro in a 2x2 growlab gl60 with 145cfm fan + carbon filter also have ducted in a/c as temps was way too high,temps are about 73-75f lights on..only thing that could make the buds look under developed which dont look like it to me but w/e could be colder temps when lights go off as i cannot turn a/c off when lights go off because it cools the room the tent is in also......and remember i was using alot less then the reccomended ammount of ferts because i never measured my resivour just guessed.....so i was using like .75ml of floranova bloom in 2liters of water(supposed to use 2.5ml of ferts.)but yeah i dunno how you people are saying they look under developed they really dont minus all white hairs........more hairs are starting to change every day and getting more cloudy trichomes so im glad i did start flush...

nicoli there is no way it has that long no way in hell dude....its been flowering for be 7 weeks saterday...and thats actualy flowering....and its a indica pheno...trichomes dont lie and im going with the general concensus and my thought of be done next saterday....oh and in reply to shotgun i took a test sample today and i smoked it alittle bit ago after drying it on my crt pc monitor its really good it is definatly a indica lays me back take a hit and the high comes in like a wave...lasts a good lil while too and nice and potent...tastes good even being sorta quick dried(8hrs quick dry)

Go ahead, chop your plant early. I doubt anyone here will lose any sleep over it. All you did was came on here, asked a question, and neg repped everyone who disagreed with you on when you thought it should be harvested. LOL.

didnt neg rep anyone just posted wether if somones helpful or not you saying 3-5 more weeks is just far out dude...i guess i failed to mention this purple maroc strain is a shorter flowering strain at 7 weeks says the breeder but in my experiance the other plants was done around week 8...i was just making sure my thinking was correct and as i said the general concensus says my timing was about right....but w/e im just a noob in your eyes......another thing i just dont understand is how you think there is that much time left its not a pure sativa.....far from it dont even smoke like a sativa....nor is the node spacing like a sativa so therefore it would have indica flowering times yes? even though it has sativa in it....but stilll a early strain...btw that bud is a very very small one fyi the lense on the end of my camera is about 1 inch wide so that bud is small its a homemade macrolense same one in all the pics......none the less in my other pics around the boards my full plant pics suck....i just dont understand some people

And a lot of breeders put wrong flowering times on their strains.... it happens. Don't go by what the breeder says...... And most pure Sativas take a hell of a lot longer then the 10-12 weeks you think.
