eed quick help. Quick store bought small system... whats the best?

Hey guys... Im having a major problem with my current Ebb and Flow system. I need a quick fix to grow 6 or so plants. Id love to switch to RDWC permanently. I dont know much about these. Is there a small beginner kit that i can order immediately to save some of my plants?

Ive got 6 fresh started girls that i just put into my system with hydroton, and i have many cloneds ready to do whatever.

Any quick help/advice would help... I loved the ebb and flow tray system, but I dont have the height... An individual bucket system would be great!

If temperature is the problem....that needs to be addressed. Adding another hydro system is not going to fix the problem....it will just cost money.

either add ice to your rez....or invest in a chiller.

Poor plants. Sorry.

dude build your own system in all honestly it is not hard AT ALL! and plenty of tutorials on this site of how to make a RDWC system.....it can be built faster then you can order and wait for one to be delivered......thats what i would do save some cash and have the joy of something built to your exact specs...hell can even make it oversized so you can possibly expand if needed.....or you can even do EBB&grow systems which is almost like ebb&flow just using buckets instead of a tray.....and might be able to use many of the same parts you still have!...heres the link to the diy link-o-rama has plenty of tutorials for what your trying to do https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=40637 ...good luck i just hate people spending a ton of money for something that can be built with ease.....

We love our aeroponic turbo gardens. We had two at another site, got those back, got two more, and put the rest of our gear away.

And another thing is that we use hydrobact (or aquashield) with hygrozyme in our mix. We also find that Silica Blast has kept us from having any gnats and we've been using small amounts of power clone to promote healthy root growth. Silica Blast helps plants deal better with stress such as transplanting, bugs, and heat. Maybe even just adding that and some power clone would help prevent the root problem. But if you're running with no a.c. then maybe aeroponic would be better than ebb and flow.

Hey there Squire,

Either a Waterfarm 8 unit system or a MultiFlow 12 pot system. The Multiflow is really what ur looking for. It's actually an Ebb & Flow system but it uses individual buckets and a controller to fill & drain the whole system. Very high yield.

Examples of premade Hydro systems...

I'd innoculate w/ diluted compost tea and ZHO microbe mix. It's cheap and effective insurance at $8.95 for a packet.

You can do well on the Waterfarm (ie over a pound, about 1.5 is probably standard), but they take up a lot of space. With small clones of a good strain, you can easily pull a lb out of a 14 site turbo garden aeroponic.

How do I know? We've got both and have been experimenting on the best way to get the best yield for over 2 years.

The waterfarms waste a lot of nutrients b/c they have drip rings, the turbo gardens are sealed, so the plants get all the nutrients and they are used more efficiently.

The waterfarms drip rings get clogged a lot (the part that goes down into the res) and you have to lift big flowering plants up and get to the tubing down in the res. Drip clean might help, we never used it, but I can't say for sure that it would.

Turbogardens only have the problem that the roots might grow in the drain and keep water in the top tray. You just check the drain every day or two and it's no big deal.

Less mess, less fuss, less daily maintenance, less nutrients. That's your turbogarden vs. your waterfarm.

Thanks for all the advice... Most suggest I go with the Ebb&Flow bucket system.... Thats exactly what im using.48 site CAP Ebb&Flow bucket system w/ 50gall rez I love it, but cant figure out the problem with the plague my plants fo through. I ordered all new tubing and it should be here monday. Im thinking about building a two bucket aeroponic system to tese out, and maybe even save a couple of my ladies. Theres a great DIY on youtube. It looks like my EZ-Cloner with a net pot in it. Simple. Im gonna build one with a rez, and two buckets with sprayers in it. If i like the results, ill build one full scale. Im just really getting burnt out starting with 25 ladies, and ending up with one sickly looking piece of crap. Plus im broke... this was supposed to be my new cash cow... Again thanks for all the input, and keep it coming!!

If rez temps are an issue RDWC is NOT going to be the answer.

E&F buckets are tried and trued, and have produced alot of weed for alot of people. You really need to figure out whats going on with your grow.

Tubing could be bad

I think the flood time is too long. If the buckets flood for 30 minutes, that means roots could be under water for 30-45 minutes till the buckets drain.

I do not think res temp is an issue. E&F is usually tolerant of higher res temps. But a chiller wont hurt.

I know you were using GH nutes. Are you using a bunch of additives? If so keep it simple, use Lucas

Figure out the issues with your bucket

Try Hempy Buckets.
They're really easy, and if you add Osmocote Plus (OC+) they rock even more. I have seem a pure Hempy & OC+ grow from start to finish, they just added molasses at the end and it rocked. It was a just add non ph'd tap water grow. no burn ever, no nute def ever, and overwatering seemed impossible.
In essence it was stoner proof lol.
