I have some calcium deficiency rearing it's head. I was doing everything right. I thought maybe my ph of 6 was just a tad to high for vegging these particular strains. Well the spotting continued to spread. Still is so I sat scratching the head. All I could be was my meter I concluded. Just a visual inspection revealed the root of the problem.
Some how my ph probe was surrounded in a sludge that unless u eyeballed it was undetectable. I removed the sludge and rinsed and retested the water I was mixing. Before removing the sludge the water was at stable 5.65 not budging. After cleaning prob water ph instantly read 6.5. No good for coco medium and calcium absorption. That is nearly an entire ph point. I was using 7.0 approximately for who knows how long. Argghhhh but it is all a thing of the past. Greener pastures lay ahead. Whew glad I tried to solve that puzzle n got off my ass n did something bout it

Damn nice find there!! Knowing me I might have dumped CalMag in there make a bad situation worse.. Experience working overtime . I too started showing a Calcium deficiency a few weeks back but I bumped up the nutes a bit and seemed to clear it out. Just started with the phosphorus deficiency recently so I'm hoping the KoolBloom I just added fixes that with the extras to come. I will certainly be posted on the next bro.. Keep it up

just recently went through this..mine had a hairline crack inthe case and the pen wouldnt calibrate,, read 6.3 no matter whatburned a couple of plants up with that one

every time my meter starts acting funny and won't calibrate properly, I take it into the shop and they shoot me a replacement, may be worth a try. im lovin that aero cloner, cloning is still a huge weakness of mine. anyways homie I'll be in your neck of the woods this weekend, hollar at me if you want to get down on some could be better headband. peace

I haven't been around much lately or I could have helped put you on the right track sooner. With a low reading like 5.6 or below a cal or mag deficiency(interveinal chlorosis on lower leaves) would be possible, but you have yellow with green veins on upper leaves indicating an Iron deficiency caused by high pH. If you'd been watering unknowingly at 7, you basically have no Iron available. Glad you spotted the acid producing slime that was giving you the false reading. My hat's off to you.

Wow, you got it down to just 4 strains? Did you agonize much about ditching the ones that didn't make the cut? Or are the 4 you mentioned just for this run and you still have moms of the rest?

I'v e thought about lowering my strain count. Of course I've lost some due to my own lack of experience and various disasters, but still have too many to keep track of all that's vegging in my little space. A few plants that were still in beer cups died the other day. Guess what, one was a Chem4. Turns out to be the only C4 I had in veg. Dang, I thought I had another! So now I'm looking at this amazing c4 in flower and contemplating how the reveg will go. Or, not. I still have a good selection. If I could only keep one out of the lot, it would be Sour Diesel. It has the high the size and weight and fast growth.

edit:My only Sour Diesel has died too. Well, it has a small chance to live, but I have to face the possibility of losing my best plant if I can not reveg one of the ones in bloom right now. Turns out that I was infested with leafhoppers. That's why my Chem4 died. I'm going to post a thread about it in the infirmary I think. Wicked little suckers. Sucked the life right out of my plants. They're dead now, so now I have to recover from that before I can flip the next batch. arrgh@!

What EC or PPM are you going for? Do you have a meter? My ladies are super healthy so I am feeding them a good amount, the EC was at 1.3 during the 2nd week, now in the third I've bumped it up to 1.5, but I am scared that's too high....? hey dudes i replied to all of ya yesterday some long winded ones too and lost it all with the push of a random button WTF did i hit?

Cali- thanks man i bet they will look the same. yes H&G aqua flake still for A & B. nearly out of my gal jugs after all this time.... well worth the investment IMO.
i currently run my own supplement schedual for my botanicare shit and pk boosters. i am following the H&G normal schedual rounded up to nearest whole number for each week for the A & B and the H&G supplements at recommended rates. my week 4 ppms were 1350 for the first water. -ppms drop a couple hundred a day for the rest of the week after 2 full doses. before weekly plain water, the ppms in res are 500 or a bit less. week 5 mix i will shoot for around 1100 ppm to start due to increasing pk boosters for week 5. i dont really worry about it as i know that what ever i am doing is safe for the girls and they can take it. my main goal is to follow my plan i set before growing. if i follow the recipe and keep ph correct i am GUARENTEED success. there are different levels of success of course but will always be enjoyable. my last run was a success without even following a plan or using all the stuff i should of. my results def took a step back but still better than most weed i find out there in the world and only has room to improve again. so far this run is putting the last to shame with general health and me being on point.
thanks for the kindwords and if you want to say fuck the guess work follow my schedual man. its that easy. the one i typed out is beautiful for lighter feeding strains and the normal H&G sched is better for the hungrier girls. along with my supplement schedual and your pimpin it. just gotta harvest properly from then on lol
