Mine is not a true SOG, but check out the link in my sig. 400W 9- 2G pots. Toppped once, supercropped to attempt to even canopy.
I know its not but I worked with what I had in order to best attempt a SOG-like set up with the nine plants I had. I am in a little under 3 x 3 with 28 tops 28tops/9sq ft = ~3 tops/sq.ft. I have 3 tops per sq ft, best I could do. No trying to argue, he just wanted to see some ideas, so I wanted to point out what I did. If you could only see the canopy it very much looks like a SOG.Nice grow but not even close to a real SOG.
SOG = Sea Of Green. And technically any grow could be considered a sea of green.
BUT traditionally a SOG means a bunch of SINGLE cola plants, usually at 4 plants per square foot or denser. Some have done 9 psf.
There really isnt much to it. Get a bunch of clones, root them and throw them into flower. Indica dominant strains may need 5-7 days of veg time.
Getting to know your strain will help alot in SOG, like when to lollipop, etc
If on any large scale, SOG is alot of work
Very nice SOG High Country! What kind of yield do you expect to pull from that? How long does that strain run? I have been thinking of doing a set up very similar to yours this winter.
